That's our local firework display and Christmas Fayre just been cancelled due them falling under the definition of a "live" event and thus would require vaccine passport checks as both attract large crowds. Totally unticketed events in undefined large open spaces so impossible for organisers to go ahead as impossible for them to implement a system of checks. Total nonsense.

Bonfire and Fireworks near me cancelled as the price of fireworks have gone up by £1500+, they couldn't get insurance from their usual company and other insurers would costs thousands more - due to an increased risk of a Covid outbreak and claims coming in if the event is the cause...

Fair point re cost of fireworks but the is less than zero chance of anyone getting a claim against organisers of such an event for catching Covid.

None of the stuff on the APP even reacts well,

The final GREEN CONFIRM button you press at the final hurdle does not react.  You need to press it twice to then find the NO MATCH FOUND that everyone else is getting.   I actually know my CHI number as I did the Jobby on a stick recently.

Also horrendous is when it is meant to move between the various areas.

Just got through the BIOMETRICS for the 15th time and you get to the redirection in 3 seconds or press continue.

I would be interested to know if anyone did NOT have to press the CONTINUE button.

Oh by the way I have now just arrived at No Match found for the 15th time.

This is ripping the shit.

Shit.

Just booked ours last night.

Thanks for the info.

You might be able to use them for Day 2 tests if you haven't already booked them too. You'll need to get a code off them for the return location form though.

Only 70k have downloaded the app. Either people are waiting for the issues to be fixed or telling the SG they can shove their app.

So they are claiming the huge numbers downloading it is causing the registration issues, but it transpires less than 100K have even got it.

Charlatans, the lot of them.

I'm not defending this stramash, but when there are multiple apps with nearly the same name I check with website behind it first.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but does the vaccination letter with the QR codes which I've already got saved on my phone on pdf do the same job as the App thing and negate the need to download it ??

It will do fine for the present. It's when they integrate the app with the EU version that there might be an issue for travelling.

When will that be? I'm flying in 2 weeks and the covid green pass is being mentioned to get into places.

I am not confident of this shambles of an app being operable by then.
