Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Just follow this simple empirical exercise.

Eat a McDonalds. Put on a mask. Fart. If you smell the McDs fart then your mask is not protecting you from Covid.

You realise that the main point of masks is to protect other people from you rather than stopping you getting the virus?  Your empirical test should be - Eat McDonalds, Burp and if anyone within 5 feet can smell it than the mask isn’t preventing you transmitting COVID to others.

Even Sky News are reporting it now! The zealots will be turning on the creator of the Oxford vaccine for this!

Great news but would the SG still expect people to wear face coverings and use vaccine passports?

How can SAGE be so far away from what reality is in almost every case? I don't understand the agenda they clearly have.

I reckon they are like the Daily Express. Every year the Express does a story about the winter going to be one of the worst ever recorded. If a bad winter comes along they can say "we told you so". SAGE are doing the same - predicting horrendous stuff knowing that if it is milder than they predict, nobody will bother much.

That's not their job though. The Daily Express put those type of articles out to sell papers, what are SAGE selling that they need to be so OTT in their assessment? Is it purely to keep themselves in the press? I just don't see what a supposed team of experts gain from being so spectacularly wide of the mark on the very issues they're supposed to be experts in.

That's Romania piling on a good few thousand cases a day now as well and new restrictions imposed. Haven't read through them all yet but sounds like masks everywhere again and most public places restricted unless vaccinated.

Better hope the certification from here works since I'm due over there soon.

So Wales goes number 2 in the World and is in Wave 4.

England possibly about to hit their Wave 4, that we and NI have gone through.

Cases reported today quite high and rising at 36,710

Deaths: 182    England 131, Scotland 37, Wales 8,  Northern Ireland 6

Highest rising country in Europe.  Doubled in 10 days.

Deaths quite high  at near 100 a day for relatively low case numbers in a country of 20 million.  One of the lowest testing countries in Europe so cases are probably 4-5 times as advertised with those death rates.

If they DON'T predict disaster and disaster happens then everybody will bother a lot and all of their members will be facing an end to funding, power and influence.

So giving a wide range of predictions but always emphasising the worst case may be seen as a good strategy for them in some respects.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was at the root of it.

Said fairly early on that having such predictions etc made public isn't really helpful.

Don't give them any ideas...

The psycho brigade at 'Independent SAGE' and their cultists have already decreed that anyone getting the sniffles is morally unacceptable.

Don't these people ever get sick of sounding alarms for mutations? Same patter every time - could evade the vaccines, could force us back in to lockdowns.

Switch it off folks

Especially when you literally have vaccine creators telling them it's not going to happen. Science has been so badly damaged by this period.

The folk on SAGE etc should have to divulge political and business interests.

Tegnell the absaloot boi.

There is the slight problem that Swedes are in general a lot fitter and healthier than us.

A lot of the deaths are down to our own fucking fault. Hard as that is for people to hear.

Giving him it?

ETA tell me to mind my own if you so wish btw

I dont actually know tbh. He wasn't want it. Even with him being Autistic it certainly is a bit more challenging as he may be 12 but his mind and body is not of a 12 year old. He is only of 3 Kids in his class who are 12 ( kept him back a year )
