Does anyone know what percentage of the population of Scotland has had Covid?

Officially

England 9.82%

Wales 8.10%

Scotland 6.77%

Northern Ireland 9.49%

Glasgow highest at 9.88% down to Orkney 0.78%

Aberdeen at 5.36% and currently only at 118.7 per 100K so not sure you can read too much into these stats.

So about 8-9% of the UK.  Not bad considering we didn't have a vaccine for the first 10 months.

Edit - 8.5% or thereabouts?

Just on this stuff - was "the weans canny get it!" one of the weirder points in the last 18 months?

I remember an argument on Facebook where one maw on our local community page claimed it was all a sham and claimed everyone who’s children’s had Covid were just incorrect diagnoses of the flu.

She ended every rant with “My bairns have never had it right.”

Take a guess what her family caught a week later.

Farce that it’s gone on that long, or that it’s ending?

That it's ending, tourism is nowhere near back to normal. Shouldn't be available across the board but should still be targeted, I'm sure many hospitality venues would also want it as Brexit looks to upset supply chains until Spring 2022 but that's a separate issue and not what the scheme was designed for.

Wales on almost identical steep trajectory as Scotland.  Northern Ireland the Covid capital of Europe still.

36,572 cases today. 113 deaths.
