Labour are so bad at, well, everything

The worst of it is that I have absolutely no doubt this will be popular.

There is no justification for this whatsoever. Indeed, a fair proportion of the amber list ought to be greened: lower case rates than the UK, reasonable vaccination rates and none of those bloody variants the government keeps crying about.

Nicola Sturgeon signals delay in lockdown easing. "Unlikely" that any part of Scotland will move down a level from June 28.

"Instead, it is likely that we will opt to maintain restrictions for a further three weeks from June 28 and use that time to vaccinate"

Three weeks from June 28 would take us to the same timetable as England. Who saw that one coming?

It is progress of a kind. In months gone by she'd have been putting the levels up.

Except it won’t be the same timetable as England as i’d assume the intention after the 3 weeks would be to go to level 0 rather than remove all restrictions.

I suspect that England's 'removal of most restrictions' as Michael Gove said this morning will be very similar to our level 0.

I doubt that will be the case for things like events and crowds when England is allowing far higher capacity at the moment.

back to this greater normality of what life looks like beyond level zero shite, so not  no rules as you were 2019 ,  some sort of taylor report for the entertainment industry incomming?

Vaccine passports by another name IMO.

Hospitality Personal Safety Certificate or some such bullshit.

All this talk about vaccinations allowing hope for a greater degree of normality is nonsense.  If vaccines don’t allow full normality then what does?  Where else can we go after vaccinations for the vulnerable are completed?  Still no mention of how many people vaccinated is enough?  What is the target here?

Not a great degree Nicky. Normality. Full stop.

Publish a paper to tell us life should go back to how it was in 2019? Absolutely laughable shite from these incompetent clowns. They simply love bureaucratic nonsense.

Did Israel bother with shite like this? Denmark have also simply listed dates with key expected vaccination thresholds/checkpoints at which things will be back to full pre-pandemic normality. I'd have thought somewhere like Denmark would be a model for the Scottish Government? Or can they just not let go of the 'we must keep safe' virtue signalling pish?

No no. In England when Gove and the like talk about maintaining baseline restrictions, what they mean by that is that you still need to wear a mask on public transport and the advice to work from home might stay in place.

In Scotland’s level 0 you are still only allowed to meet indoors of groups to 8/10 people from a few households. Nightclubs are still closed as well.

Not sure if this has been shared, a BBC journalist being chased by anti-lockdown protesteters

Really disturbing to see that.  You get the feeling that if someone had tripped him or hit him then things could have escalated very quickly.
