While I don't believe in an award for everyone regardless, only recognising the "able" one doesn't do anyone any favours.

Would much rather recognise effort, I've taught plenty bright kids who are quite lazy and just coast along.

That's exactly why they're bollocks.

Current League table for 2nd doses. Percentage increase for the week in brackets.
City of Edinburgh again another massive push, Clackmannanshire worth a mention, they really want done with their persistent clusters as are Moray. Also Stirling, Falkirk, the Lothians and Glasgow doing well. Big push in Fife answering my previous question. North Ayrshire appear to have just about stopped, are they back to focusing of getting these 1st jags in?

Given we know it's two weeks post second dose that smokes the virus, and transmission especially, it's worth bearing in mind those figures for the big cities. Additionally, the fact practically no under-40s will be double-dosed, and it's these younger cohorts who spread it the most, it's really no surprise to see cases rising post-unlocking when the virus is more easily transmitted. Vaccines typically work even better in younger adults too.

Also, while you'd expect the more rural areas to have fewer cases etc anyway, it's good to see them smoking it with such high vaccine coverage. It remains that once 80+% of adults are vaxxed, this is done. Even the mewling will have to stop at that point.

It's inevitable that cases will rise. Guaranteed.

We need to see daily hospitalisations/ICU numbers/deaths. At this point in time cases are irrelevant, I'm afraid.

Sitting here for my 15 minute holding spell after getting Pfizered out my nut.

Be interesting if any studies and investigations are carried out into why the UK seems so susceptible to this. Barring an almost total shut down, there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to prevent cases rising quickly.

Not too concerning given the good impact the vaccines are having but, in 20 years, that's SARS, MERS and COVID with a couple of worrying flu strains thrown in on top. Something else will no doubt be down the pipeline in years to come and we have got to look at how to better prepare and mitigate.

Covid is something we just have to live with. The lovejoys creaming themselves for "zero covid" need to wake up and realise its not going away...just like cold, flu etc.

We've been restricted for 15 months now. Elderly and vulnerable are double dosed. Time everything was binned and get normal living back. This half way house of being dangled a carrot and then getting it snatched away is mental torture

Anyone else still waiting for their first jag?

Me. I'm in the 30-39 age group, still not had a letter. I am reassured that they do have my details though.

I'm not overly bothered other than the fact I now barely know a person who hasn't had their first jag, a number of whom who are younger than me.

My entire point is that we shouldn't be reliant on lockdown-esque restrictions, which i would be happy to see gone, to mitigate the effect of a virus.

I want proper examination of the societal, environmental and economic factors that appear to make us susceptible.

2nd isn't bad given the absurdity of allowing half of Glasgow to flood down the road, time the numpties just opened us up and let it rip instead of trying to be too smart for their own good.

All catering kiosks will be closed at Hampden due to covid. Reasoning given is distancing cannot be guaranteed in queues.

Is this the SG decision or Uefa’s decision?
