As I said any business owner can run their business as they see fit, ultimately only his customers get to pass judgement on that so what you or I think is totally irrelevant. We need to stop being judgemental and decide for ourselves who we choose to spend money with. We would never have agreed with every businesses policies pre pandemic so why would that change. We absolutely do need to be judgemental. As I said we have to live in this society. No doubt you’ll be first in the queue to get your domestic vaccine passport and twice weekly LFT test if you find it acceptable what this business owner is trying to do.

Pre all this shit there were plenty companies I wouldn't even consider giving my business too for umpteen different ethical reasons. Post pandemic the same applies. To think that every business needs to conform to your set of moral standards is nonsense totally brought on by this situation. This guys stance is 100% part of a free market economy and to think we can dictate otherwise is total nonsense.

Billy Jean King
Gym members usually have a contract so it depends on what it says. Quite possibly but its up to them to walk if they feel he is breaching that contract which without us knowing what the terms are is impossible for any if us to comment on.Presumably if his customers don't like it they will quite rightly take their business elsewhere.
Billy Jean King
Here we go, how to hug by Jason Leitch https://www.scotsman.com/health/coronavirus/coronavirus-in-scotland-jason-leitch-says-hugging-should-be-done-cautiously-3238693 Coronavirus in Scotland: Jason Leitch says hugging should be done 'cautiously' Scots should be “cautious and careful” when Covid restrictions ease across most of the country on Monday, national clinical director Jason Leitch has said. Speaking to the BBC’s Sunday Show, Prof Leitch said initial signs suggested the Indian variant was “part of the challenge” in Glasgow. Asked if the outbreaks were likely to spread to other areas, he said: “I think we should watch and be cautious and careful. “We have decided, with advice, that on Monday the rest of the country is safe to move to the next stage. “But we all said the hugging, the increased hospitality, that should all be done very cautiously. “So don’t go crazy, but we think it can be kept under control.” Prof Leitch said it “may well be” the case that Glasgow stays in level three for longer than a week On Monday in the level two areas, up to six people from three households can socialise indoors in a private home or garden without physical distancing. Physical contact such as hugs with loved ones will be allowed again, though the government says people should use their judgment around how often this takes place. Soooo, could you have been arrested for hugging loved ones before Monday, by who's army? It was never illegal to hug anyone, it was totally up to personal responsibility.

Why on earth have 2 BBC journalists asked how to safely hug, first it was BBC news down south talking to a baffled professor and now this, its utterly mental.

Inanimate Carbon Rod
Two of the minor league baseball teams I like went back to full crowds, complete sell outs, 12,000 in the ballpark, absolutely rammed and vaccine rates similar to our own in the states they are located. The government are genuinely now ruining people’s lives over nothing. Feel sorry for every pub that re-stocked, cinema that brought staff back from furlough and person who’d followed every rule and done everything that was asked of them and got shafted.
