Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

236 new cases of COVID-19 reported
21,273 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
1.2% of these were positive
1 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive
8 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19 (down from 11)
68 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19 (up from 58)
2,876,633 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 1,424,208 have received their second dose
There's something a bit odd about the hospital numbers over the last few days. The last 4 days figures have been 58, 69, 58. 68.
ICU going down at least. But aye, this week's hospital numbers are all over the place.

England, but anyone with sense is moving flights to England for this summer. Hope we do get a decent Scottish response but not hopeful.
That's fine until you require some sort of digital proof of vaccination at your destination which needs to be made available via NHS / Govt in Scotland. I will be holding off until the very last minute.

Not convinced the article which she links to paints quite the same picture of positivity. She still wants folk locked up IMO and can still GTF

It's quite literally an article promoting #ZeroCovid

In the event that we shitfest through on penalties to the final it would be absolutely ridiculous to have a 500 fan limit at Cappielow. You could fit in 1000 distanced in the Wee Dublin End alone in a completely open space.

Whether there's any demand to watch our turgid drivel of a team slither along is another matter of course.

Similarly, 500 at the likes of Rugby Park, Dens Park or East End Park would be farcical.

There is no scientific basis behind the number 500, and as far as income goes I imagine any profit after paying for ridiculously increased stewarding numbers etc will be next to nothing. By this stage the SG ought to be be doing more than plucking arbitrary numbers out of the air, and impacted sectors need to apply pressure for them to do so.

The pivot continues that #ZeroCovid actually means... living with it through vaccine induced endemicity, like influenza. She can then try and claim victory, of course.

Snake.

Mental response from this guy. We will have to live with restrictions forever regardless of vaccinations.

The sort of drivel listed in his description shows why these 'dynamic' views can all be heaped straight into the nearest skip, which they will be.

Will be interesting to see the response to the guaranteed request for bigger crowds. Should be a formality but let's see.

Fife top of the vaccine charts in the last 7 days

Must be some amount of people getting vaccinated at hospitals and GP surgeries in Dundee if those numbers are correct. I'd be surprised if they've had 300 a day turning up at the mass vaccination centre the last couple of days.

I cant get the neighbourhoods to work. In Falkirk, I believe there has been between 10 and 20 cases at Kinnaird school in Larbert. Does that account for the rise?

England’s travel green list revealed:

Portugal, Israel, Gibraltar, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Brunei, the Falkland Islands, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Ascension Islands, Tristan da Cunha and St Helena, along with South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

Id imagine that most of that list won’t let you in in any event - hard to see there being a big opening up of the travel industry in May.

And head of border force says expect long delays on re entry to the UK. Given its hours now with hardly anyone flying christ knows how long it's going to take to check PLFs, Passports and PCR test compliance.

Oh and Simon Calder was talking utter shite again with his USA green talk all week.

Disappointing but not unexpected.
