Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I never thought that T&T would be effective - not because of the principle - it could have worked - but because of previous public sector IT projects.

It's always been the same - systems that are not fit for purpose because the contract is given to the usual suspects.

Here it is worse because the contracts were given to cronies with zero experience of delivering such a project.
Which part of T&T would you describe as Public Sector?
The only thing public about it was the money thrown at Tory cronies.

Seriously? Do they not have to wear masks at HR? I didn't know that - what a farce

They certainly don't wear them during FMQs or Covid updates, which I've always thought was a bit odd.

If I need to wear one because I work indoors (despite having dividing screens etc which, btw, they don't) then I don't see why they get away with not wearing them.

I'd have assumed they don't wear them during those for the same reason everyone on TV doesn't wear one - it makes it more difficult to be understood. I'd imagine there may be equality reasons too given that deaf people may be helped by lip-reading.

Even allowing for this, there is no reason for anyone not currently speaking to not wear one.

Just guessing, but does that 4.4 per 100k for Shetland actually mean 1 positive test?

Yep Kicking off is sarcastic talk.

Should allow Scotgov to panic over Dave the crofter.

Petershill riddled mind.

If the figures continue like this then there is absolutely no justification for keeping the likes of gyms and cafes or retail shut into May, simply unacceptable. I could just about put up with the travel restrictions and restaurants/pubs/football crowds into the start of June but anything beyond that is now utterly shite and if this was any other country in the world the government would be getting papped in May.

Given the now domimant strain originated in England, you must surely see the fallacy in proclaiming that banning foreign travel is the big lesson to learn from summer 2020.

The dominant strain didn't appear out a dodgy jar of jellied eels though. It is all linked.

I wonder if they're trying to identify a date for significant relaxation of the rules that might maximise turnout and SNP vote at the election.

That's what I'd be doing.
