Why is Edinburgh behind everywhere else in Scotland on vaccinations?

Seems to be a common thing across the UK, cities are showing as lower levels vaccinated. Glasgow is pretty much in line with Edinburgh.

The current theory seems to be quite simply that city population estimates are a bit wrong, they’re far more likely to have temporary residents living there for work who have fucked off ‘home’ for the pandemic (both elsewhere within the UK or abroad) and higher BAME populations where unfortunately uptake is lower.

Could demographics not be a factor too? For example, Edinburgh may have a younger population or less underlying health issues (I have no idea if that's true, of course).

Surely it can easily be compared as a percentage of vulnerable groups vaccinated?

2020 should be remembered for all of the British media's blubbering tears and snotters about the Russian jags not being legit because OUR CUTTING EDGE GREAT BRITISH SCIENTISTS DON'T HAVE ONE YET.

It's almost as if a country whose recent predecessors moved entire factories thousands of miles by train and produced T-34s like Skittles has got a better handle on urgent, no fucks given solutions.

Aye but how is it against the as yet undiscovered Vladivostok variant?

It could yet materialise. We can never be too safe.

I am going to have to do Zoom interviews in a couple of weeks. Dreading it tbh, it’s almost certainly going to go wrong in about 5 different ways.
