Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Recommended Posts

Something to keep an eye on is the fact that Israel's infection rate has increased since restrictions were lifted, despite their vaccination programme. The R number is apparently now at 1.
I realise that what's important in the number of hospitalsations and deaths, but if the same thing was to happen here you don't know how the SG will react to it.

Are we talking about a massive increase or just a general upward trend?

Vaccination data as mentioned now public.

What is incredible is the take up rates all exceeding 96% in the completed categories.

Fantastic take up rates. Brilliant news.

Prey tell sir.

Incidentally I've noticed that in our medical records that covid vaccines are now being recorded so that shouldn't be difficult to pull data for if required for travel etc.

No names that would surprise you based on what I've heard

In Europe the Czech republic is in freefall at 700

I don't know what has happened in Czech Rep. They locked down before us last spring and it was a stricter lockdown with masks required on transport pretty much for the off. Despite having double the population of Scotland their total number of deaths was in the low hundreds all through the summer. f**k knows what has happened since October. They had 14,457 new cases on Thursday up from 11,657 a week earlier and they have 7,176 hospitalisations. Easily the worst numbers in Europe.
