you can't extrapolate BAME in this country being  at higher risk, to people all over the world.

Case fatality in Yemen is 30% and in the 10 countries with highest case fatality rates none of them have a majority White European population base.

Spoiler

Wockhardt in Wrexham is essentially a bottling plant. They make it at various manufacturing plants around Britain and it's taken there in bulk for packing into individual doses. It's been running on two 'fills' per week for a while which could be up to a million doses each depending on which manufacturer it's coming from.

That's where Derek McInnes and Jack Ross learned their trade...

Covid conspiracy theorists don't even believe their own pish imo. They're just attention seeking melts who'll go back to sharing missing dog posts from other countries once all this is over. However until then, truncheons to the face, frequently.

All the initial supplies of AZ and Pfizer came from Belgium too, hopefully AZ are fully up and running in Wrexham by now. Janssen is fully owned by Johnson and Johnson, so America will likely get first dibs on any uncontracted supply.

Two million doses a week doesn’t sound a lot if the government target is 500k per day.  You’d assume most of these would be planned to be AZ rather than Pfizer.

Certainly less than the previous discussions of 150,000 vials per day.

CFR will inherently be much higher than IFR if very little testing is taking place. Have a sneaking suspicion that Yemen doesn't feature very highly on the tests per capita table given it's in the midsts of a civil war right now. One of the main reasons for all the mass hysteria over COVID is that many people do not seem to grasp the difference between CFR and IFR, so when a 2% CFR number was being reported from Wuhan it was generally assumed to mean that 2% of everybody infected would die. We now know it is probably under 0.2% on IFR and very much skewed towards > 70 year olds placing it in unusually bad flu season sort of territory rather than a rerun of the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

Haven't been reading up about it recently but a few weeks back the main bottleneck on ramping up vaccination was reported to be the special type of glass needed for the vials.

And all these countries are testing and diagnosing people in the same volume as every other country?

Because the UK will go over 100,000 Covid deaths today, and mandatory quarantine for those arriving will overtake that milestone in the news pecking order.

It's a fact that bipoc in the US are much more heavily affected than white people - although there is argument as to whether that's poverty related rather than genetics.

1. By who? Not, according to the BMJ, the manufacturers - and it would be a strange business who talked down thir product without good reason.

2. Again - specialists who know more than those who actually developed the vaccines?

3. In a world where we don't trust a word that comes out of Moscow or Beijing, why do we treat every Israeli statement as Gospel? This is a country which won't admit having nuclear warheads..

4. I never said they did, but another cog in the same PR machine most certainly did.

The manufacturers have carried out trials using certain time period between doses. They provide recommendations based on this. Vaccine specialists, such as those who sit on the JCVI, look at this, take the data from their trials and apply what we know about vaccines and about the virus to produce the schedule. Incidentally, other countries are also changing the schedule some to 12 weeks, some to six. Most of the serous questions raised about the change are based on scientists wanting access to data. The whole situation is rapidly changing so obviously could change.

The figures coming from Israel are based on testing carried out by the vaccine manufacturer. What reason is there for not believing them?

True enough. And agree that any comparison between Spanish Flu which was influenza and Covid-19 which is a Coronavirus.

The initial point was about developing countries potentially having a more resistant population an argument on poverty Vs genetics is not a strong argument when a country has both issues.

They don't support the doom and gloom outlook.

how does it benefit the government to keep us locked down unnecessarily ? which is what you and others are suggesting. that the government push a negative agenda in order to justify restriction that are not required? why? they are paying for everything whilst everything is shut down

Mr Leigh shouted: "I'm an officer of the court. I'm putting you on notice, if you put one hand on me and touch me I'll be doing you for assault.""

Watching the video is even worse. It’s like he’s convinced the person receiving treatment it’s not real.

The doctor definitely wanted to knock f**k out of him.
