When a house builder builds a row of houses they don't wait to complete the first house before starting the second.

They do if they don't have all the materials they need to do more than one at a time - or the labour.  Or the experience of building many houses at once.

But we have plenty materials just now do we not?

Anyway, we'll all just need to see how it all pans out in the coming weeks.

Bureaucratic nonsense par excellence in Wales

The UK government have some serious questions to answer why supply seems all over the place for the devolved nations but England seem to have constant supply even enough to ditch the priority group schedule to in an attempt to grab newspaper front pages

We don’t have the army and the vaccination centres but they are a coming I see

Drakeford was on Sky News this morning and sounded fairly optimistic that some restrictions in Wales could be removed at the end of January.

He did this before when Wales ended its firebreak. Cases soared.

Seems a pretty desperate attempt to deflect away from vaccine criticism.

Maybe they've vaccinated 99% of over 80s in eg Manchester but only 50% in eg London? In that scenario that's no reason to wait on vaccinating over 70s in Manchester.

Exactly. That old phrase postcode lottery. Why would they wait for the last people in each category being vaccinated when it’s probably down to inefficiency in other regions

Maybe, probably - but how about resources to actually get it into arms?  I genuinely don't know but wonder if we are really set up to ramp up significantly quickly.

When are the Scottish vaccination numbers announced?  During the lunchtime briefing?

I think we'll see a significant increase today.

Hopefully. There's certainly been an increase in anecdotal evidence that more folk are getting it. My grandparents were on Saturday, ma who works in social work has been contacted to book her slot also. Still seeing articles on BBC with GPs complaining about supply issues mind you.

Here in darkest Englandshire the hospital staff are grabbing folk who are there at night and jabbing them with left over vaccine from that day. Police up there with prisoners fir example.

How good is the IT system that records the vaccine delivery at issuing a letter in 10 weeks time with your repeat slot?
