He's really decent but grips the club left hand below right. Think I won about 4/3. He plays out of Milngavie golf course. A few days earlier he played the worlds at Sheffield and talked about an amazing fluke against Nigel Bond. He's a Celtic fan. Thought I'd google this

Sturgeon will keep us locked up for as long as Devi and Linda see fit, even though that was utterly pointless last summer. From whom? The usual cry of BJ being reckless and putting profit before lives will return, as will the fawning over NS caring more and keeping us safe.

It's the one thing I do take comfort in - that the economic and political realities will eventually come home to roost, along with pressure from business and industry, especially once it is being observed over the border like you say.

I’d be amazed if Boris doesn’t start relaxing restrictions first. If it goes badly Sturgeon can claim to be correct. If it doesn’t she should be crucified at the ballot box but that’s never going to happen. ETA she can’t lose in other words. This time around I think (and hope) the public mood has changed. I know many folk who last year were saying how NS cares so much about us all and is keeping us safe.. and now they’re very much of the opinion that once numbers drop through the affect of vaccines we should be back to normal ASAP.

I'm not so sure. If anything I feel the winter will have strengthed the support for a cautious approach, especially from those who would be quite happy to not make use of any loosening of restrictions anyway.

vikingTON
The big issue with easing restrictions in the short term is that the government's rush to send schools back at the first plausible opportunity would mean literally weeks if not months of pointless restrictions for everything else, because it would just send the R rate right back up again towards 1 - if not higher if they jump the gun. Whereas an extra few weeks of studying from home would allow for things to be opened up at a more sustainable level and wrap things up much more quickly. I have absolutely zero confidence in any UK government taking the correct course of action given their handling of the issue so far.

I’d go one step further and think Boris will open up things before enough immunity has been achieved to ensure zero further risk to the NHS. Should be a simple thing to prevent but we’ll see.
