I find that an encouraging figure from today.Slight word of caution on this. 900k doses in total available by the end of January was what was mentioned today by the FM, which is different to 900,000 people vaccinated in January. This includes the ‘well over 100,000’ people who have already had their first dose. Some doses may end up used as a second dose. Some might be received in late January and therefore will physically go into arms in February. We should be over 10% of the country done by the end of the month though, and you’d presume the bulk of that are the most vulnerable. Hopefully we see that coming through in ICU numbers/deaths, which ultimately will become the key measure for lifting restrictions in the coming months.
