Absolutely stunned to see a poster who has been called out for some questionable comments in the past agreeing with complaints about 'virtue signalling'

He's been "green dotting" out and out racism in The Travel Forum within the last 12 hours

Oh lighten up sweetheart x

Find it strange that sexism like this continues to go unchallenged. Why is it acceptable to use gender as an insult? The insinuation is clear.

Whats the deal with the article on New Zealand? If you said to anyone in Europe now or earlier in the year you can have full normailty at home, in safety but with zero foreign travel ( incl no visits by friends or family from abroad ) most people would bite your hand of

We are now at the point where are having the longest disruption to life since world war 2 we’re going backwards instead of forwards too, thousands dead and yet the economy is also fucked and travelling abroad is both impractical and un enjoyable that most people decide to give it a miss?

Are we seriously suggesting that they ( New Zealand) got it wrong

Don't worry, after Brexit we'll fall out big time with the Germans and declare war. Nothing boosts the economy like a war. We're probably going to be the baddies this time though.

Surely organ impairment is a result of being in ICU whereas the people claiming 'Long Covid' mostly didn't need hospital care and are generally the sort of people who were prone to suffer from every other psychosomatic illness under the sun.

We created an empire and wealth that we're still living off being the baddies

Here is a very interesting article about behavioural changes required to combat spread. It’s about Ireland but is also applicable to the U.K. and Scotland.

I like the stuff about getting away from blame and on to positivity, especially regarding young people.

Unless I’ve read it wrong the study subjects had not all been in the ICU -only 18% had been hospitalised.

Aye but all the subjects (99%) are reporting four or more symptoms believed to be related to Long Covid.

My reading off it is that all they found in the mild cases were minor heart problems but they couldn't rule out that they existed pre Covid.

Long-term term chronic fatigue seems to be one of the main symptoms - which is not surprising - most viruses are capable of causing post-viral fatigue that can last weeks if not months.

Quick question for you fellas. Why is it that Italy, who got out on the UK quarantine list last week, give compulsory tests on entry to UK visitors but when they return home they have to be isolate for 14 days?

The result of the tests are emailed within a day meaning negative results don't need to isolate beyond that. Oh and it's free.

Why can't the UK do the same?
