Given that it's been a fact for years that the SNP face more media scrutiny and criticism than probably any UK political party in history, it truly beggars belief that an elected SNP MP would willingly and knowingly do something as f*cking stupid as this.

She needs to resign, and pronto. Daft cow.

To be fair, it would hardly take the brain of Britain to work out that the school could give a child a laptop or tablet to take home or the very few children without internet access could still attend school whilst it operates as a "hub".

Just like during the first lockdown.

The best part of this hissy fit of course was that of all subjects Admin and IT couldn't possibly be done with the aid of distance learning technology. If your school hasn't equipped students to use this technology yet then it has no business offering an Admin or IT class at all: whatever 'practical work' you're doing in a central computer room is now completely fucking irrelevant to the real world applications of that course.

Next time: the snippy teacher brigade insist that schools must stay open for the sake of their beloved handloom weaving course.

I took Admin to fill up the timetable in high school.

I'm pretty sure a teenager will be able to get through the rest of their life without knowing in tedious detail how to use Microsoft Access tbqhwy.

Why do the posters who take cool names like Chairman Mao end up being the absolute worst contrarian bores ?
The guy purged landlords and you're mewling about the Swedish deathrate ffs.
Usually people who venerate despotic types turn out to be pretty boring. Not always but mostly.

We're in the midst of a global pandemic and we all have to make sacrifices.

You may lose income. You may see your children more than you would like. You may have to change your plans.

Best to prepare yourself for it now imo.

What sacrifices you making?

The National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE)

Why isn't it NIHCE? Is it just so the acronym works? I'm going to write in.

BAME  is the same, it should be BaEM, or just BEM. I've told them I won't take them seriously until they fix it.

I can never get my head round the folk on these threads who take themselves so seriously and research things furiously, to the point they clearly believe they are like Socrates, delivering their almost God-given pearls of wisdom and enlightenment to a crowd of enraptured movers and shakers who will pick up on every word, analyse each graph and scurry off to immediately spread the gospel and shape government policy. "That showed THEM" they purr to themselves as they hit reply. In reality the audience is a bunch of skiving b*****ds waiting to pounce on any personal foible of another poster, hopefully see a nurse with big tits occasionally and, best of all see someone have a meltdown and get banned.

Didn't Ghandi say the exact same thing on his deathbed?

In fairness all of Socrates's peers fucking hated him as well

Bit more like the guys beside him. Without the laughs, obv.

I have been fully supportive of SG Covid measures until now.

Schools and universities going back clearly has had a big part to play in the rise of Covid again.

We have a potential huge rise in asymptomatic carriers, because of the above. In my view the most dangerous type. As if you get it bad you are incapacitated, reducing chance of spread.

Kids and teens don't consider consequences as much and tend to act in selfish manners without thinking.

Quick example, my 15yo son went back to school, caught cold from taking a drink of his mates Cola. I've now got cold, and it's a stinker but it could have easily been Covid.

This may sound radical but I think schools and universities should take a year out.

It just doesn't make any sense when all other areas of society are being shutdown or impacted heavily by Covid but schools/universities are allowed to continue, and continue spread.

The media seem unwilling to approach the question and the government are just burying their heads in the sand.

I'm exasperated and disillusioned by it all.
