England about to follow our lead and make masks compulsory in shops possibly according to the BBC. Excellent compliance in any shop I entered today.

Was a bit hit and miss today when I was in the Asda in Chesser, mainly younger folk not wearing them though. I had to pop to Tesco for something else later and the guy who was on the door was happy to let folk in who weren't wearing a mask, just warning them they could get fined by the police. Similar to the buses here, I imagine staff aren't prepared to enforce masks as it's not fair they cop the abuse if someone kicks off about it.

Tesco Staff are not the police so cant enforce it. However masks should be on sale at the front of store. I reckon 95% of people yesterday wore masks.

Social distancing however seems to have fallen away.

Overall think people did well. Wearing them for 7 hours a day was quite the experience. However it is what it is.

Boris Johnson turning down the EU’s offer to sign up to their vaccine program.

I’d say I’m shocked but I’m not. He’s actively hoping to kill some people off.

108 mill contract to a pal of Doms that has a recipe for peri peri chicken and syringe will be ours most probably

Yesterday, Asda in Dundee were giving shoppers a free disposable mask if they did not have one.

The Tesco Social Media diktat has just been imposed on us Wholesale types, how harsh are they on enforcing it as I now no longer appear to be allowed to admit I have a job? Open revolt in my BC as people are, according to the brief, no longer allowed to talk to each other on any Social Media platform if they dare to mention any work related subject. I would rather work for the North Korean Government tbh.

I am fine as I only post shite on here but looking at what some other Managers post they really aren't getting how serious the implications are. As I said, I had to remove all work references on my FB page as I would have been subject to disciplinary action otherwise, it all seems a bit OTT.

It's all rumours but seems that a few people are getting sacked for things they have said on Social Media which is why they are cracking down.

Surely there's a warning process in place before folk are actually sacked?

(unless they're promoting a hate group like that young polis in London)

7 new cases today is much more like what we'd like to be seeing than 18!

Looking very likely now we will finish the week with just 2 confirmed deaths, which is really encouraging.

Hopefully not far away from that being zero.

Friday seems to now be the day to watch out for any increases.

Been on a few trains today and pleasantly surprised at the level of compliance with the mask thing. Exceptions to every rule though...teenage neds are obviously eagerly seizing on the opportunity to be transgressive, but ultimately neds gonna ned.

Also, every carriage I was in seemed to have one of Those Middleaged Couples looking quietly furious at the fact they were sticking out like sore thumbs. Inevitably he'd be sporting a polo shiirt/beergut/mantits combo, while she'd be even fatter and either have an Easterhouse facelift or a Karen haircut.

My first day out wearing a mask. Suprised there was still quite a few people not wearing them, especially in a takeaway I went to. I felt like a bit of a fud there as th lassie was behind Perspex and I was trying to give my order with my mask on. 3 times I had to repeat myself before I eventually took it off to give the rest of the order. I think masks are ok when in supermarkets using self scans, but when you need to interact with people whilst wearing them it can be a bit of a clusterfck

I’ve had loads of conversations with people while both wearing a mask. Yet to have any difficulty. Maybe that’s just me but I suspect most people are managing to communicate perfectly well.

I’m sure if I was talking to someone up close it would be fine. Trying to talk to someone in a busy takeaway with traffic noise and Perspex wasn’t a fun experience. I felt embarrassed at having to repeat myself 3 times but hey ho
