How can you not have a new normal? We used to do things one way, we will now be forced to do almost everything a different way. Once you've been operating in those new rules for a while they become the norm. This isn't difficult.

I've got to agree with the assertion that your feelings are borne out of selfishness.

I can remember when we stopped pounds, shillings & pence and changed to the decimal system.

I can also remember stones, pounds & ounces and changing to bloody litres and whatever.

And I can also remember changing from yards, feet & inches to bloody metres and centimetres.

Whit's a ba' hair in centimetres? or half an inch?

Sorry for not being a scaremongering sheep like 90 % of posters on here. Feel free to block me if I'm such a c**t

You denied having a “f**k the old” attitude previously, but have just confirmed it. Happy to let them die if it means the pub doesn’t have social distancing and screens when they open.

c**t.

Phase three, so 7 weeks away, and even then it might still only be open in a socially isolated, drink your pint and dont touch anything type mode.

Phase 2 for beer gardens.

Each phase is three weeks so assuming we don’t all die during phase one which starts on May 28th, pubs with beer gardens can reopen around 18th June.

Gyms are three weeks out from that so 9th July for some deadlifts, f**k my life.

I don't see why people assume that this will be the case, given that Scotland has been in lockdown six weeks longer than originally set out and delayed its exit beyond other parts of the UK. It's quite likely that it will take two review periods or more to move from one stage to another.

Stage 1 is essentially just giving a green light to what people have already been doing. Nothing fundamentally seems to have changed.

What is the process for bringing staff off furlough?

Phase One - cancel their Sky subscription.

Phase Two - send a couple of heavies around to drag them off the sofa.

Phase Three - safely dispose of all leftover packets of cheesy puffs and cans of Tennents in their fridge.

Phase Four - send the heavies around again to escort them onto a bus into town.

Phase Five - get them a haircut.

This is exactly it, stage one is a total non event, except apart from that critical constituency of golfers.

The Castle Tavern is about the only half decent one in Inverness. Even though it is about £6 a pint and impossible to get a table in the summer.

My local boozer has a large barely used car park, so I'm hoping they decide to fill it with benches and parasols.

There's only 4 in Paisley I can think of, The Lord Lounsdale, Canal Station (or whatever it's called these days), De Beers and The Old Swan.

However, there's surely an opportunity for bowling clubs to cash in by temporary conversion of a green or 2 to outdoor seating areas.

If the government strategy is primed at having people socialise outdoors then they're going to have to do something about the Wee Free bylaws against consumption of alcohol in large parts of the country as well. This isn't Munich: a handful of glorified closes acting as 'beer gardens' will not cope with demand nor be able to enforce its beloved social distancing requirements.

Why do none of these ‘route maps’ indicate when we may be able to visit family or enter somebody else’s house? I’m sure that’s one of the most pressing issues for a lot of people, and failing to mention it surely increases the risk of some idiots growing impatient and breaking the rules.

7 more weeks to getting access to a barber. Wondering if it's time to get the clippers out.

The only stopping me is shelling out £20+ on a set of clippers I'll never use again.

Phase 4 would be end of August/September, right? That might be acceptable as a league start assuming it's ok to have people in the grounds by then.

Theoretically Stage 4 could be in 9 weeks, so the start of August

They literally tell you exactly that.

I don't recall her saying anything about each phase was three weeks. Every chance I'm wrong of course, so im baffled as to why people are putting dates on gyms and pubs opening

She said they would review progress at least every 3 weeks. Providing the trend continues downward throughout the previous 3 weeks, i guess people are hoping she would move on to the next stage.
