I listened to NS & she really couldn’t have been clearer. 1. The most effective known barrier is social distancing. 2. There’s not enough information to say for certain whether a face covering reduces the risk greatly, however, it won’t increase the risk if you are doing all other things properly - washing hands, distancing, not touching your face etc. It’s not been made mandatory so make your own mind up, or you could bend the rules by going shopping with your missus. for face masks?

Dan Steele
I see Ryanair talking of it being about a 6 months wait for refunds due to Covid. Probably in the form of a cheque to be collected from a branch of your bank 50 miles away.

Multiple court cases pending imo.

I'll bet his hard drive contents would see him doing a 5 stretch, minimum.

I applied for a refund on the 6th April and got an email saying it takes within 20 working days then 5-7 working days to clear. They kept asking me if I wanted a voucher or to change to later/next year.

In practical terms, that would more than likely lead to Ryanair going bust, and no one getting any refunds. Is it better to wait a little and get your money back, or demand it now and potentially end up with nothing?

I got a good laugh at that dick O'Leary moaning about EU state aid rules being broken with airlines being bailed out, whilst he doesn't adhere to EU rules and refund his customers for cancelled flights. Give everyone their money back in 14 days and let's see how Ryanair gets on without state aid...

Much will depend if people are covered by travel insurance, ATOL and/or having paid by credit card.

Most Ryanair customers won't be covered by ATOL and they have a big charge for using a credit card so most won't, and I think most insurance policies don't cover airlines going bust. I got refunded for Flybe flights by Paypal though.
