I'm 39 and I've always been pretty pragmatic about the prospect of them dying. I've thought about it a reasonable amount, and tried to prepare myself (as much as you can). But I'm not afraid to admit my heart has had a few wee flutters recently. And it's so frustrating not being able to visit. I've gradually started to give him half a cuddle whenever i visit over the last few years (as we say goodbye). Next time I'm down I'm going for the full on man hug. They are now obviously exporting it, case being the planeful that was delivered today to the UK. Does the UK have those sorts of capacities? Usually these products are very low cost with low margins, I assume that the production of them is generally focussed on places with lower wage costs but I've not seen any evidence for that. There have also been issues with getting the correct PPE in Italy and France. The likes of Tesco are actually encouraging people to buy paint and brushes as they had them positioned at the main door in the "specials" area and were drawing attention to their 5l tins of Johnsons paint reduced to £7.50 per tin. My view is that if you're in the supermarket for food anyway then it's not a problem to buy extra items which might not be considered "essential", but that you shouldn't be making a specific journey to buy them. For example, I picked up a reduced PS4 game when I was in Asda a couple of weeks ago - obviously I didn't absolutely need it, but I was in the shop anyway so it wasn't like I was increasing the risk of spreading the disease. The person who visits the supermarket once a week and buys a number of non-essentials during their shop is doing more to help than the person who visits 5 times a week to buy only food.
