There was one of them standing in a shop car park going up to customers asking them if what they were getting from the shop was essential. I was hoping one of them would ask in return if her approaching members of the public to ask those sorts of questions was regarded as “essential”. Vague emails asking about what we could work on while we're at home then a promise to have a meeting to prioritise these and get back to people which they never do. You can hardly blame folk for taking that literally and not going out. Particularly when those who do go out to buy their weekly shop (usually slightly more than usual due to being at home more than usual) are being labelled as morons, panic buyers, ignoring advice and so on.
