Regular handwashing too but she wasn't washing her hands between me and the person in front of me.I suppose there could be a psychological effect of knowing you have gloves on and therefore not touching your face (but again that's only rising herself becoming infected, not less likely to actually spread it on to your food).I hook on and off to a central iv line every day using aseptic procedures and i use gloves once a week when changing a dressing. I asked the specialist nurse at the start why i wasn't using gloves every time (like some Americans on youtube do) and she said people often get a false sense of security with gloves. They think they're immune and forget that once they're 'scrubbed in' - they still can't touch anything, with gloves or without.
