Next door neighbour headed off to work at 7.45 am this morning. He works in a window factory.

I genuinely hope that every morning you see him you say “if I don’t see you through the week I’ll see you through the window”.

If not, why not?

The only way this succeeds is if people do their bit and stay in doors.

I’m like a broken record, but this isn’t about staying indoors. This isn’t house arrest. It’s about reducing the risk of passing the virus on by ramping up the measures to further aid social distancing. I am sick of being told to just stay indoors. I am staying home, can go out and wash the car, clean the windows, brush the driveway, mow the grass, take my daily exercise trip and go out for essential supplies / medicines.

Fcuking B&Q is open. How am I meant to get there if we have to stay indoors? I need wood glue and a roll of anaglypta. FFS!

Folk saying there's not enough police or army to enforce a shutdown of 60 million people are missing the point that they don't have to. The vast majority of people will stay inside and be sensible. There will be a small amount of p***ks who will try it on. They're the ones that are going to be hammered and hopefully we'll see news reports of deterrent sentencing in action.

If anyone from Police Scotland is reading this, I will happily track down the exact location of any site photos found on social media from the comfort of my own home.

No find, no fee.  May consider a public sector discount - PM for details.

Likewise. We live in the countryside and the actual policing of our behaviour is minimal if any. The point is that I choose to limit my movement and social interaction. There’s a lot of trust being placed in members of the public who are showing they are undeserving of that trust.

Yes, totally agree.

I WOULD limit my social interaction if given the choice but sadly that's not possible while my employer expects me here.

As has already been posted, "construction" covers a wide range, it's just not possible to shut up shop at the drop of a hat, it's not like turning off a tap. At the very least sites must be left secure and weatherproof.

Sorry, were construction companies oblivious to what has been going on over the last three weeks? Were they carrying out their building on Mars and couldn't get a decent Wifi reception? They should have been preparing for an end to their entirely non-essential business practice in the near future. If they haven't done so already then that's just tough: they can let their current works rot or fall apart, suck up the costs of their foolishness and start over again when the coast is clear.

Has anyone had a flight cancelled by either EasyJet or Jet2? No idea how I’m meant to get a refund just now tbh.

My EasyJet flights were cancelled and I pressed the “refund” rather than “rebook” button. Got an email saying it’s getting process but f**k all in the bank yet. Better come in before they go tits up.

You've got to imagine something quite high up the list of suspects will be kids off school getting turfed out the house instead of staying at home.

Oh FFS.

I've heard that Oxygen cylinders are getting stolen from Hospitals too and an ambulance depot in Kent had all of it's ambulances tyres drilled.

Be careful as they are moving flights by literally 5mins and you have to click to accept....and probably click away a bunch of small print.

Log in via the mobile app and it should be fairly straight forward. Go to the disrupted flight and you have the options mentioned above, refund or rebook. You need to go into every flight individually, if there is more than one cancelled.

Last week you wanted £25k, today you are screeching for £35k.

Whatever happens after this crisis, you should hopefully have no active role in any negotiations.

Calm an reasonable heads will be needed.

Yes but I realised I was giving people like you a free lunch (again), you know the one where you feel entitled and only take, take, take but then have the cheek to bad mouth socialism even though it's that socialism which bailed out banks and is now paying your wages.

Time for the revolution Sunny Jim or would YOU rather be out there in the firing line for your £16k p/a ???

Yes, I know your type, don't you worry about that.

"Ok lads (whistle blows), over the top, let's be having you, don't worry about that mustard gas, everything will be fine, remember you're doing it for your country"..........

Went for a walk round the park at lunch and everyone keeping a clear distance and moving to avoid others. Good to see

I'm just back from walking the dog.  Everybody trying their best to keep to the 2 metres except for one old guy who was obviously desperate for a blether - kept inching towards us and I kept backing off.

Had to kill him eventually.
