The key word in the final point is “essential” this has not been mentioned by Johnson or elsewhere.

I want clarification on walking the dog. My old boy needs out 3 or 4 times a day.

The Essential list of shops to stay open

The Government has tonight outlined which stores can still welcome customers as the country goes into full lockdown to curb the coronavirus pandemic in an unprecedented high street shutdown.

  • Supermarkets
  • Pharmacies
  • Newsagents
  • Pet shops
  • Hardware stores
  • Banks
  • Post Offices
  • Petrol stations

No takeaways, this is going to be hard going.

I'd even settle for a chippy....

If it's the same as here, then common sense will apply. You'll need to get the place watertight, all plumbing working, no big holes in floors etc. Painting, papering, non-functional shit can be left til later.

You're setting the bar a bit high for Granny D here.

Mostly just shopping dropping off, I can't figure out from the new rules if that's allowed or not.

It should come under "caring for the vulnerable". I'll be dropping off shopping at my parents a couple of times a week, if I get any snash from the filth then "I'm caring for my vulnerable parents".

Any suggestions of songs to start while washing my hands so I know how long 20 seconds is? Happy birthday x2 is useful I’ve heard.

The first verse of Into The Groove is 18 secs.
