Even better, the national contact has changed the FFP3 masks available, so those who've been fitted on the old ones need to be fitted on the new ones. Theoretically, non aerosolising patients only require surgical masks and aprons, not full FFP3 masks, gowns and eye protection. What is mad is we can't test health staff. We've got about a fifth of our acute staff self isolating due to either their own or family symptoms. Most of these won't be covid positive, but they still can't work.I work in the emergency services as well and have noticed a massive increase in front line staff who have had to self isolate. We’re not far off a complete loss of control imo. (but obs not very good for the populace)So far, in Illinois at least, I've been pretty heartened by Gov Pritzker and Mayor Lori's response; he took to Twitter on Saturday to directly @ Trump and Pence because 6 hour lines of folks nose to tail at OHare. The initial response was a WH staffer calling him to rebuke him for it being inappropriate language for him to say they need to 'get their shit together'.
