Hibs vs Acccies

Another Brian Rice masterclass. Everyone in the ground sees we need another body in midfield and he takes 1 out to play 5 at the back and invite pressure on us.

And the question is - why?

Hamilton - well deserving of the lead at HT, came out and played that pish anti football for the entire second half.

Awful, timewasting crappy football, the keeper "pretending" a goal kick was a free kick, just to waste some more time at 1-1 was the utter pits.

3 deserved points for us crayon eaters.

The dream of Hearts going down automatically and Hamilton via the playoff remains in play.

Because that’s what Brian Rice does and it’s came back to bite us a couple of times already this season. St Johnstone at home being the prime example.

AN Other manager makes changes to win the game, Rice makes changes to see the draw out as he seems to be a firm believer of literally a point per game keeps you up.

You were lucky Hearts managed only to pick up one point then. TBQH, the football you played in the first half - harrying and snapping into tackles in midfield, quick ball up front - if you can carry it on, will send you up the league.

Crapping it.............especially off teams around you in the league..........wont work

That second half was pretty minging from us, although Hibs' second half was probably the best I've seen this season. Rice probably thought we'd be fine sitting off them after how toothless they were in the first half, but our back seven could deal with their movement, and Dales (then Smith), Miller and Oggy did absolutely nothing to alleviate any pressure. Omeonga also seemed to sweep up anything and everything in the middle.

It's quite annoying that the two goals were so sloppy: for the first, Martin wasn't paying attention in the middle and Easton got absolutely rinsed, then the second was because the wrong man (Fjortoft, who was clearing so many crosses) got dragged out wide which I think left three Hibs players up against Collar in the air.

OFW has probably made Rice question what he does on Saturday with Southwood coming back in, as he actually made two or three really good saves. Collar and Fjortoft also probably deserve to start even if folk are fit again. He tries his best, but I really don't want to see Gogic at RB again.

Thought Hamilton were excellent in the first half and worked really hard. Hibs were dreadful.

Good changes by Jack Ross though and a bit of dig from Hibs got us level and that was an excellent bit of play to win the game.

Didnt care for the timewasting but still think Hamilton will be fine and finish 10th..

Old fashioned 4-4-2 with rapid wingers was nice to see. Football can be over-complicated at times, the first half being a good example.

I'm all for time wasting when a team is winning but to do it when the scores are level is a minter. Accies got what they deserved in the end.

No. 99 is a twat and a huddie.

Well in this case, the timewasting worked out perfectly at the end. The fourth official added a ludicrously low two minutes at the end, and the referee blew the final whistle as quickly as possible. It's one of those 'careful what you wish for' things.

Sounds strange given how much we’ve relied on him this year but I’m starting to get a bit fed up with Allan.

I appreciate you have to try things to pull off the moments of magic he provides but he has games where every single pass is some audacious Hollywood pass. In games like last night, you can use Kamberi’s strength or Boyle’s pace by just giving it to them near a defender. The no-look 30 yard through balls aren’t always necessary and defenders are expecting them now.

Credit to Ross for the subs. Hopefully Newell can pressure Allan.

Fully agree with both supports about Hamilton’s negativity. That game was there for them to win.
