The Caley v Livingston. The Dave Bingham Derby

Caley got to grips with the weather marginally better than us, and took their chance when it came. A really stupid foul from Lawson in the first place who looked all over the shop all afternoon.

It’s utterly perplexing how can go from dishing out doings at home to looking tripe away.

It was always going to be a difficult game with that weather and so it proved, the first half hour Livi looked the goods with Lawson and Lawless working well on the right wing and then the game settled down and for me it could have gone either way, too much hoofing high balls from all including the goalkeepers, for me Welsh and Carson played well but in those conditions I felt that the team as a whole put in a good hard working shift.

Douglas Ross is a Tory c**t.

Sean Welsh as usual running the show when he's fit. Just disappointing that we all know he'll be out injured again very soon.

It was no surprise to me that Ross favoured the right winger right from the start.

What a difference Sean Welsh makes. For all the hussle and bussle of his close colleagues, his touches of class are joyous.

Grass is ideal but the Macaroni Arena is below the water table and very probe to getting waterlogged in any rainy day. It's been a problem since the stadium was built.

Now that we have the plastic I don't spend rainy Fridays worrying about yet another postponed game.

With your poor away record on grass maybe Livi should feck the plastic off and replace it with grass.

Romeo is a Green Erse Cheek fans, don't indulge him in his obsession over plastic pitches. He still hasn't got over the fact his team can't beat us on our pitch.

Pish week in the Highlands for us, 2 defeats on the trot after a good run of wins, gutted we're out of the cup as I thought these Livi players had a good chance of reaching a Semi final at Hampden, good luck to ICT in going one better this season and reaching the final this time. Think I need to drown my sorrows in a bottle of Buckie.

As others have already said the midfield trio of Welsh, Carson and Trafford were excellent. Slightly disappointed in Storey and Walsh as, in the first half, we seemed to get real joy out of attacking Livi down the flanks, particularly the right side, and it was a shame we didn't try and take advantage of their apparent lack of midfield cover for the fullback.

Although Livi had more of the ball I think we had the better chances overall. Ridgers didn't have much to do until late in the game when Livi flashed a shot straight at him. Defensively I think we were pretty comfortable. Tremarco had a good game and Rooney started well but was less involved in the second half.

Good away support in both numbers and voice. Fair play to them and I see Douglas Ross still as effective a linesman as he is a politician.

How is it at all perplexing ? It’s down to the Livi pitch. Livi play on it every other week, know how it plays, and play a style of football that works on that surface. Playing away on grass removes all of those advantages.

Don't beat about the bush, Douglas Ross is a first class shite as a linesman and a politico..

Tommy Walsh played better when his hair was longer???????
