Scott Robertson - West Committee

Anyone who attended last night will be fully aware of the news article that is now online via the Daily Record.

Robertson in front of almost all delegates from the West Region using the term niger to slag off the east region.

Another example of junior football being held in the dark ages by backwards thinking archaic blazers.

surely he can’t be saved this time round or like when he lost the fixtures role will they create another role for him? Head of PR possibly....

He hasn't got the balls to resign and do the right thing. He has to go, and the other delegates should make sure it's done as soon as possible to mitigate any further fall out

It gives me no pleasure to say it, but the time for him to exit with an untarnished legacy is unfortunately long gone. Had he quit the first time of asking after the only thing that kept him in the fixtures job was a handful of clubs not showing up for the AGM, he could have bowed out gracefully. Instead, he carried on drip feeding fixtures less than a week in advance despite being under a clear mandate to reform his way of working. Understandably, the following year he WAS voted out, although the West Region made the inexplicable decision to manufacture a sort of minister-without-portfolio job for him.

And now this? He has to resign, and if he doesn't have the self-awareness or dignity to do so, he has to be hunted from any position of influence within the organisation ASAP.

No right-thinking club can continue to allow him to represent them.

i'm sorry , but surely the rest of the committee should have sacked him there and then after making a racist comment like that ?

There's absolutely no excuse at all for using that word !!!!!

Surely they shouldn't even have given him the chance to even say he was considering his position? Should have been taking the choice out his hands straight away

Yes seriously if the rest of the commitee do not sack him then they should seriously be looked at themselves for condoning said behaviour.

Is Kennie not around for a comment ?

Edit he has been on reading the forum this morning.

Personally it’s beyond that now. Any sacking should have taken place 9am this morning.

Point of no return for him, last nights comment was horrific but his behaviour last night outwith that was deplorable, shouting a roll call when people are raising points under AOB then putting the coat on and declaring the meeting f#cking closed was not a good look. Same at last meeting baracking the guy giving the talk on young players mental health. Top table constantly let him carry on regardless, its as if they are terrified from him. No club can support him now shouldn't even be put to a vote but do the management committee have the spine for it?

It was an unfortunate turn of phrase but was in no way intended as a racial slur as people on here would have you believe.  I can assure you that not one person at the meeting raised any concern about the phase apart from a look to the heavens.  I am not a great supporter in Scott and do believe some action should be taken and would like to think that the SJFA should put out a statement on the matter and not try to bury it.
