Arbroath v Falkirk

Hopefully durnan has now learned to just keep it simple, which he done brilliantly last night.

Arbroath were really sloppy at times, missing the ball and letting it go out of play on quite a few occasions.

Take telfer out get Todd in there with connolly on the other side and Longridge up top with McManus, see how that works out.

Last night Arbroath's worst game of the season ( up there alongside the match at Dens and the Ayr game at Gayfield ).

The first half was a non - event with both teams equally balanced - but little on display in terms of football skills

Falkirk deserved their win - but there is little between the teams and on another day an in form Arbroath might have won the match - but tonight Arbroath were posted missing.

Over these two games both matches have been really dull with little football on display.

However, Arbroath have had a great season and the players are entitled to have a few bad days in the office - happens to every team.

What the feck was the clueless ref doing when he gave offside for the ball hitting the arbroath boy in the wall and going out for a corner? Noone else attempted to touch the ball so god knows how it was offside?

Think the linesman was trying to claim McManus was trying to play the ball before letting it go out.

Was a bit taken aback by the Skybet odds pre-match. Falkirk 5/6 Arbroath 12/5.

Other than Sevco, it must be a while since 3rd tier team were odds on to beat a 2nd tier team.

In that first 45 minutes both sides registered exactly one shot off target each. What were you on, and can I have some? emoji16.png

You may be right if you're only including off-target efforts, however, I remember Connolly with an off target shot and Gomis having a shot tipped over by the goalie.
