Second leg...

image.thumb.png.d417312a7785338309827c9fb50bbdbd.png

Almost the exact opposite. Stuttgart were the better team but had no clear cut chances and we had almost no highlights apart from our goal which came from a PK after Conte was tripped just inside the box. In between the two games we played Inter at home. If we drew Inter were champions but a second string team came back from 1-0 down at half time with a 94th minute winner.

Managed with all these fuckers out injured as well...

Now Real Madrid coming up in the semi finals. They finished 4th in La Liga last year and are currently 5th but have had some cracking performances in the Champions League.

Semi final. First leg

 image.thumb.png.d3bfdad127d457ebdf3f76e71fe27ebb.png

Half way there but, as Bon Jovi said, living on a prayer. Despite the shot count they had the better chances and we have the keeper to thank. Bronic pick pocketed their centre back and went straight through and finished well. No way we'll manage another clean sheet in Madrid so going their attacking hoping for an away goal...

NOOOOOO!
image.png.39c457d0ba217e3b791bde0e2e6d6423.png

Fairly even. Thought we were about to score a 2nd from a free kick and but no clear cut chances either way apart from the goals

Second half...

Bit of a non-event. The quarters and semi have all been pretty boring games tbh. Not that I give a f**k.

Final v Atletico Madrid

Sell outs!

image.png.2a39ab0c47b3bcb1eda98616a2882b61.png

I took the money. The only real weakness at Man City was the full backs so I used my transfer budget (which was five times my budget at Juve) to sign my amazing full backs and one of my centre backs as there is a shortage behind the current first choices there. Also could do with some back up behind the strikers and they listed Garcia despite him having good ratings when he played last year as a back up. He'll do the same here.

Most the squad hates me so signing a few big name players on my side is beneficial. The squad fucking HATE each other. Every single one seems to hate another member of the squad.

Forwards!

Three amazing choices up top. No worries there.  Guterres, Luciano and Igor all won the WC with me at Brazil and will all do well in the AMC (Guterres wants to leave for a new challenge sadly) Wings are a sore point. Bellingham is 33 and on the way out and Weeks is young bug not sure how much he will progress. Olivares is a great option ont he right but Bakayoko is a big step down and the other options are out of position.

That's just beautiful

Defence looks solid with decent back up options behind the first choice options. Keeper is 33 which is a worry. My back up is 3 star, should reach 4 star, but is 25 year old so he got sent out on loan rather than have him stagnate. Some jobber 24 year old English guy got papped up from the reserves to cover

Well it's the end of the transfer window and I have made zero signings (well none for the first team anyway). Guteress still wants to leave and was a bit huffy so he's away on loan to Arsenal for the rest of the season. Had a very hit and miss start to the season but two good runs since then have seen me here

As always the league is a bonus. Man U look well ahead of anyone else anyway. My team has adapted to my tactics and I've won over the star players who felt I was below their standards. Wrapped up qualification for the knockout stages of the CL but, after playing the weans, managed to fall into 2nd place. That was daft. We have Bayern Munch in the KO round

I reckon, domestically, I'll do better in the 2nd half of the season. Hopefully that carries over into the Champions League but Bayern is still a big ask.

Ganan genuinely might be the best striker in the world but he missed sitters in both legs v Bayern so he can go in a bin fire

That was an incredibly dull game. The second leg was also dull as f**k but with a handful of differences

Those differences being goals. All for Bayern. Another year in Lancashire it is

Despite a 2nd place finish (and the only team to beat Man U) the board have telt me I need 11 points in the next five games or I am toast. They telt me this after the reserves lost v Norwich on the last day of the season
image.thumb.png.8cba1f10d165e57c8559b626b9200829.png

Man U drew a few games in a row but, just before beating them, we shat it away to Leicester and they won their last three anyway. Ach well. Our cup record this year was shite but we have the World Club Cup coming up and £400,000,000 to spend.

World Club Cup was never on my list of essential tournaments but would be a shame to miss out on it. I had one new signing unavailable until after the group stage and took a good first XI with a handful of youngsters with me to Australia

Smashed Palmeiras who got an injurty time consolation but all the goals in the 3-1 win v WSW came in the last ten minutes. On the the knockouts

image.png.df19e5fd53164eeefbbf4bfb27b212ed.png

We drew 0-0 at home with Bayern and were smashed 3-0 away and both were better performances than that win. We were also the 2nd best team in the Atletico match but deserved the victory in the final. The only new signing I made?

image.thumb.png.d70e0bcf91843c9e5f84eb6f9be98b4d.png

He was outstanding in the 18 months I had him on loan at Juve. Only £40,000,000 and instantly first choice on the left wing

Olivares, my right winger, might be the best player in the world but is 30 years old and I have no other out and out right wingers. So I splashed out on this fella
image.thumb.png.b8909dd330f94fb7bbd91ead198cd817.png

Cost me £90,000,000 from Bayern but, unbeknownst to me, his club before Bayern was Man City and we had a 40% of profit thingy so we got about £20,000,000 back. Handy. Also, Chiesa IS the best left back in the world but had no competition. So I paid far too much (£70,000,000) for this guy

image.thumb.png.050d8e603aa76f5f1b1a3db68abb3562.png

So we now have two worldies in every position apart from keeper. I mighta fucked up a bit there but as long as my first choice doesn't get injured I'm jammin
