Murray Davidson has been sent off once in 350 appearances for St Johnstone.

That's honestly staggering, but it goes to show he's seriously adept at what he does.

I agree it’s a staggering statistic for the type of player he is, but he’s combative, not dirty. We’ve had plenty hatchet men in the last ten years, but he’s not one.

I would agree- I think he goes over the line (probably similar to Draper) on a fairly regular basis but if he's only been sent off once then he's judging it bang on the money.

FWIW I thought Rowan Vine was a far dirtier and worse player. I just dislike Davidson more because he's generally seriously effective against us.

Looks like Brian Graham has been left off with punching Murray Davidson, somehow.

Means that theres now two instances of a player punching a St Johnstone player, and it being clear on highlights, yet facing no punishment over the past few years.

Frazer Wright once grabbed Steffen Wohlfarth by the throat and no action was taken by the referee or the compliance officer.

RandomGuy must condemn.

It's a bit hard to take that Sportscene spend half their time trying to get our players banned (theyve three times spent longer talking about offences than match highlights (Wright v Celtic got a ban, McFadden giving a GIRUY to Hamilton fans got a ban, MacLean celebrating a goal the same way he had for four years got highlighted, but didnt get a ban), yet when it's against us it just gets completely ignored.

It's a conspiracy.

It's just laziness, but when it's getting our players banned, but not other clubs players, it needs highlighted.

The easiest answer would be for the compliance officer to not be reliant on fucking Sportscene for making decisions.

You missed the ones where they got Brian Graham a ban for going on for ages about diving for a penalty v ICT (probably deserved to be fair) and got Lee Croft a ban for highlighting a badly timed challenge in a match at home to Ross County which was barely an incident during the game.

There did seem a bizarre sportscene obsession for a season or two with highlighting stuff which our players did to the point where it was discussed more than the rest of the match.

It seems to be less prevalent these days, but they did spend ages going about our two sending offs against Aberdeen this season. Seems pointless analysing to death poor challenges which were justifiable red cards, both decisions the ref got right.  Our manager came out and said they were both reds, there were no complaints from Aberdeen, yet for some reason the BBC wanted to make it a big discussion point.
