BendtnerBairn
Does the East of Scotland still have 'Junior' teams? Just doing a bit of research and noticed that, given that the east of scotland leagues involve promotion to the Lowland League which is in the senior pyramid, is there no Junior teams in the East anymore? Why isn't there an opportunity for West of Scotland teams such as Pollok to get promoted to the Lowland League? Sorry if this is old news! -

cmontheloknow
Being helpful on first bit - most old East region sides left but some remain. 18 in North (old Tayside) section, 20 in South (old East / Fife) section. No West in pyramid because all Junior clubs were guided to ignore pyramid in its formative years - bound to fail, Juniors better than the rest etc. Kelty's departure led to an avalanche of rivals and rivals of rivals following. That didn't happen in West as no rivals left. West should be in en bloc from either next season or season after. But yes, a 900+ page thread already on the go!
