Dunfermline vs Alloa - An Athletic Encounter (Sat 28th Dec)

Recommended Posts

After the last of the mince pies and turkey sandwiches has been gorged upon, the hunger for second tier Scottish football will inevitably return at East End Park.

To be fair, what better way to celebrate the no mans land of the period between Christmas and New Year, than to watch Dunfermline play out their bi-annual home draw with the part-timers from Alloa?

Dunfermline have lost their last two - albeit in tough away games at Dundee and Inverness - but look decidedly ropey in defence. Alloa have went off the rails since beating us at the Recs and are threatening to be cut adrift at the foot of the table.

After my longest period without a Pars game in over a decade at least, I will make my return to the stands next weekend and I am suitably shaking with excitement/dread already.

If Dunfermline don't beat us they should swap places with Kelty Hearts

Kiltie back in and Nisbet on his own should help things. Surprised that Lang made the bench on Saturday. Straight swap for Devine if he's near match fit tbh.

2-0 victory for the Pars.

Two one pars. You forgot the mandatory Trouten goal.
