I don't want to unnecessarily bring election chat into a football forum, but do you know yesterday's result may mean the European Commission ruling on your smokies having to originate in the town could be quashed, meaning Arbroath will no longer have exclusive production status?

Nah, that's all just a red herring.

That could be right, but the advertising slogan "Hung for a week,in a shed  foo 'o' reek" is under copywrite control.Unfortunate that we dont have a monument like the one for Wallaces pies at Stirling.

You will have to make do with this.

Tbf there's a few cooler places to choose from here than the Keptie Water Tower... (if that's what it is)

Game day fucking yassss. Be a busy one today

It is the water tower I first saw it a couple of months back when I was in the area, it’s history is an interesting read.

Would the high, round, abbey window that the 'rid licht' shone from, to the harbour not be suitable?

The game: Dick Campbell is a good organiser, and it's no real surprise that Arbroath are holding their own in this league. Think the only home league defeat has been Ayr. There are a few parallels with that club, and I wouldn't be wholly surprised if Arbroath made the promotion play-offs at some point, if not this year, then next.

Given that, possibly United's first draw of the season would be an almost acceptable result.
