That’s really shite patter.  Sadly you’re not capable of a wittier response.

Edged it.  Dunfermline were laughably bad at the back for 51% of the game, whereas we were only laughably bad at the back for 49% of it.
Good finishes from the frontmen to demonstrate once again that they'd be an excellent strike-force at this level if they had some service from someone other than the opposition defenders. I also thought that was the most influential performance I've seen from Dorrans so far.
Hamilton, however, is legitimately one of the worst professional keepers I've ever seen, and I've seen Shrewsbury Town play every bunch of diddies from Carlisle down to Plymouth multiple times. Most lower league players have a mixture of deficiencies and positive attributes - that's why they're in the lower leagues.
McGowan, for example, is slow as f**k and prone to a meltdown, but does at least have some vision and generally tries to control possession. McDaid is a bit of a headless chicken, but is at least rapid and direct. Forster isn't very good at football, but is at least good at fetching things down from high shelves. In Hamilton's case though, I honestly don't really get what it is he's supposed to be good at. He doesn't stop shots and he can't control his box or organise his back line.
I don't feel good about the slagging the boy so harshly, but at least I'm doing it online where he hopefully won't see it. Those laying into him at the game when we're 4-3 up and the whole team's probably shitting it need to stop and ask themselves if that's really more or less likely to make us hold on.

Flapjack aside, how did we look at the back mate? Numbers low today?

Kerr was great, McGhee was excellent til he went off due to injury, Forster was Forster (useless), Meekings was Meekings (anonymous) and Marshall was Marshall (top notch).

I've slated Kerr a lot about his crossing but that's a side of his game that's really developed over the past few weeks. Delicious cross for Hemmings today and a cracking one for him last week.

That a side, his crossing was really good today overall. Used to his crosses going out for a goal kick.

More than anything, I was entertained today and ultimately that's all I ask for win or lose.

What we've learned/reaffirmed:
- Desperately need another option at CB. Forster and Meekings are liabilities.
- Hamilton is still shite.
- Two up front is definitely the way to go.
- Dunfermline, the diddies that they are, couldn't take advantage of our bad substitutes and deservedly lost.
You can add - stop fannying about with the bal and slow tempo pish - we are far better just attacking and going for it.

I honestly reckon at 4-1 up if it wasn't for McGhee getting injured and Hamilton being an absolute Kelvin Jack we should've just ole'd our way to victory.

In most 4-1 games, against 10 men with half an hour to go, it's time to give the youth a run out. But the likes of Forster, Hamilton and Meekings mean that's not possible.

The team deserved the boos at 4-3, but at 4-1?! Horrific and embarrassing behaviour from our support.

Kevin Clancy was laughably bad. Forster should've been off on a couple of occasions (although that may have helped Dundee), I thought both sides could've had a penalty. Nisbet clearly two handed shoved a player in the back at the end of the game which we won a throw in off of. Really don't understand what these referees are watching sometimes.

I left the game thinking Clancy was incredibly card happy. Kiltie only had himself to blame for getting sent off with his lunge whilst on a yellow, but his first booking was harsh.

He penalised Danny Johnson for an accidental hand ball, then let him off with one minutes later then a Dunfermline player blatantly controlled it with his hand to put the ball past Forster (Not that he needed to do so) and awarded Dunfermline a free kick on the edge of the box for the aftermath.

Clancy had a bigger mare than either of our defences today. I was wanting Dorrans subbed as soon as he was booked as I thought Clancy was choking to send someone off. Luckily for us, it was Kiltie who got that treatment.

Kiltie's second yellow was well deserved - you can't go in studs up like that and expect to get away with it.
