Its a real custard pie in the pus that I didn't have this lad. On a serious point, Mississippi Burning was probably the most moving film I'd seen when it came out. Even watching it years later it was still an emotive experience, even on the small screen.

Miguel Sanchez
Week 30 update One death this week, Dead Pool favourite Olivia de Havilland: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/jul/26/dame-olivia-de-havilland-obituary Quote Dame Olivia de Havilland, who has died aged 104, was one of the last surviving cast members of Gone With the Wind (1939). Her portrayal of the saintly Melanie Hamilton earned her an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress and, to the modern eye, while Vivien Leigh’s Scarlett now seems mannered, de Havilland’s precocious maturity is still touching. She was four times nominated for a best actress Academy Award, and won twice, for To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949). But her impact on her industry extended far beyond her acting ability. Her sufferings under the restrictions of the notorious Hollywood studio system pushed her to take her employers, Warner Brothers, to court. It cost her several years of her career, but her victory – still referred to as the “De Havilland decision” – changed irrevocably the way that actors would be treated by studios. I think I first heard of her when I started playing the Dead Pool on here. Based on my cursory research here she seems to have been a good actress and someone who would have been a P&B favourite in her youth. She was the last surviving star from the Golden Age of Hollywood, and reading about her film roles as well as her fight for better contract rights for actors was quite informative for me. With her and Kirk Douglas going in the one year our last living links to a monumental period of Western popular culture is gone, and a few people are going to need to make changes to their team for the first time in years. She died at 104, so she's worth 21 Base Points. These go to @50/50 Winner, @Bold Rover, @choirbairn, @JustOneCornetto, @peasy23, @psv_killie and @sureiknow, with @CountyFan getting 32 points with a Vice-Captain bonus. I've noted the progress of the boy Cornetto but, imo, Ned Nederlander is the man to beat, tucked in behind the leaders. What do we get for deadly duo?
