Well said. I came on to make the point but you've done it well. The Fleetwood Mac name and history is mucky but Green was a proper guitarist and musician.

He did a brilliant DVD commentary for one of his old films, Cannibal Apocalypse, where he quite cheerfully admitted that he didn't even remember making the film and spent the whole thing trying to guess what was about to happen and what he'd been thinking at the time.

Week 29 update

Never heard of the guy or any of his bands. Let's have a listen:

Musically, sure. Vocally, there's something about English bands from around this time that all seem to have the same whiny, overly deliberate singing style. I could probably get used to it. He seems to have been an influential figure though, judging by the amount of bands referencing him as an influence.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the articles online focus on his time at Rangers. It seems he had his best years at Falkirk however, playing in a Scottish Cup final and scoring the winner in a Challenge Cup final the same year. I'd offer a page from the Falkirk thread from the time the news came out, but it's filled with RandomGuy and Marshmallo arguing about coronavirus testing. There's no video of that match on youtube either, so you'll have to make do with a picture:

Hagen is the second Scottish football figure in the past twelve months to die from motor neurone disease. In 2018 Falkirk, Hearts and Rangers staged a benefit match for him, and a Falkirk historian pledged the profits from his latest volume of the club's history to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland. The only other thing I can think to say is that whenever I read about someone with MND is that I really, really hope I never suffer from this.
