Final decision will be made prior to Arbroath leaving which I think is around 3pm , pitch was checked at 10am and was not too bad , planning another check at 1pm and believe finally at 3pm I am led to believe , if we get the predicted downpour between 1-4 will be very doubtful, but weather not as bad as predicted so far

The pitch really isn’t the issue.  BBC still forecasting 40-50 mph winds throughout the evening.  Waste of everyone’s time trying to play football in that.

Latest forecast given to club is that winds are going to drop to approx 20mph with some occasional gusts , much lighter than present with winds dropping from 5pm , the only worry is if torrential rain falls between 1-4 as predicted , pitch playable at moment and bring continually forked , at this time game looking like being on , SFA don’t want an early inspection going on forecast , Arbroath are leaving at 2pm and fully aware of situation , they are willing to start journey knowing game could be  in doubt and say they will accept the decision when it’s made at a later time

Where are you seeing this forecast? BBC website still saying 45-50 mph winds

MET office website saying 25mph winds with 40mph gusts. Less windy than the ICT game called off last year due to high winds.

Morton's Twitter page suggests they have no problems with the pitch or the easing conditions forecast.

Currently pouring in Ayr and heavy rain forecast until 5, waterlogged pitch is going to get this match called off instead of winds.

Accuweather is showing as continuous heavy rain for Ayr up until 6pm and winds of around 25 - 30 mph.

It was flooded when I left North Ayrshire for work this morning and it's not stopped all day in Glasgow.

Looking grim I'd think.............

Will you be coming down to it if the game is on?

Game is on at moment , SFA keen to get it on and will not inspect before 5pm as they say weather is to improve , wind is not going to be the issue it’s only if too much rain falls in a short space of time , I think it should be off though but unfortunately SFA have other ideas

That's a joke if it doesn't get called off until 5pm, SFA shafting Arbroath and no consideration for supporters.

Arbroath leaving at 2pm , but disgrace for their fans

Agreed, comical how the SFA think they're in a better place to judge what the condition of the pitch should be rather than cliub officials at the actual ground.
