The Thoughts of Chairman Bam:

1) Queens Park defence played very well, worked as a unit, which the City defence hasn't seemed to do so for a while

2) Spiders' second goal was annoyingly fine. Grr. 

3) Abused by some hospitality yahoos today- tsk, tsk, is these the dregs of humanity that professionalism will bring to QP matches?! Almost as bad as C***e fans. 

4) Don't fancy facing a Cove team on the rebound from a hounding next week- at least Glass will be suspended as he ripped City a new one in the opening game. 

5) Hopefully the pies will be cheaper at Lesser Hampden...

Quite an interesting game today. Edi City fans will argue they had more of the ball and should have got something from the game. QP fans will argue we defended well and took our chances (which we did).
Fair play to the Edi City lad with the free kicks. Good efforts. I thought QP deserved a win and we’ve waited long enough for it.
We’re in terrific form, I reckon we can take 6 points from the next 2 games before some tricky fixtures closer to the holidays.

A good day at the office, even without Davie Galt. Jack Purdue was a pretty good replacement.

City were due something from the game but it's about time we got the rub of the green against them.

Outstanding goal, as has been said, and let's not forget that Salim made the first one too.

If I could be a wee bit critical, we gave the ball away far too often .... but it all worked out just fine.

Rode our luck a wee bit but what a goal to win the game.

What a strike from Salim to win it.  Game amazing similar to last week but with the added pressure of league points at stake. Again Mark got tactics spot on but became a bit too deep at times. Getting the rub of the green at the moment but again we showed such desire to win the game. Well done to everyone.

2) Correct again. Though the tiring defender gave him opportunity to excel. Check the highlights.
3) New to us too. They’re usually punted up to the east end. Although the EC squad players in the central stand were sharp with the language too. And they were sober!

Massive result psychologically. The miserly defence is back and with goals from The Striker and a midfielder, again, we’re looking very healthy. Top marks to the coaching team too. Consolidation over the next two games will convince me about what play-off we’ll be heading toward.

This exactly, lots of commitment from the boys against a good team who might have had two goals at least on another day, our clinical finishing is making a difference in some of our games.

What a difference in the team the past month, playing again to the levels from july/August. We’ve now got a settled first eleven and even when guys like Galt are out, Purdue stepped up to the mark and took his chance brilliantly. Hopefully that kickstarts Purdue’s season as its quite clear he’s got ability in abundance 

Salim was outstanding yesterday and the finish for his 2nd goal shows how  confidence the guy is the now. Really think he could quite comfortably hit 20 goals if he doesn’t pick up any injuries, he always seems to get chances when he plays. Very rare for a QP striker
