The BBC’s tweet and Dershowitz interview is an all timer.

Not just minimising the trauma suffered by abuse victims, it’s the way they’re trying to portray her as one bad apple when we know a huge number of establishment figures were clients. Nobody protects the establishment quite like the UK press.

And especially the BBC.

Brings back memories of Jimmy Sovile.

Oh aye, the BBC has previous. But with regards to Savile, at least they were trying to protect their own reputation, lest people find out how negligent they were.

This time they’re just very openly telling us that one of their primary functions is to protect the elites of British society.

What's the collective noun for c***s?

A quimmery or a vaggery.

Here's her talking vacuous nonsense to the UN (I think and in 2014) when she should have been on the run. For insomniacs only.

All I can find of the Dershowitz BBC interview is a clip on here. Not a great look for either party, iplayer will probably block it forever.

Maxwell again in the UN. She's still crap at it, but why is she there? Trying to make herself too significant and cuddly to be arrested? It sounds like some scam to flog international waters to all comers. The accounts say that her "charity" didn't pay out a penny in its 2013 to 2019 existence. Makes you think that either she was deluded or too many powerful people were telling her she'd be fine, disappearing would be foolish. She could have bunked up at Lord Lucan's gaff in Zimbabwe.

Quote

On the organization's IRS annual return, the organization reported that it owed $560,650 to Ghislane Maxwell, it owed $1,341 of credit card debt, and it had $10,252 of cash, as of 31 December 2018.[13] During 2018, the organization had spent $5,365 for professional fees, $9,380 for website development, $11,157 for advertising, and $270 of bank fees, but it spent nothing toward program services.[13]

I reckon Dershowitz played the BBC last night. It was a breaking and fast moving story, he probably phoned the BBC offering to discuss the case as an American lawyer, the producer knew the name but not that he was one of the accused, okayed it, and he went straight into his rant ignoring the question the presenter asked. The presenter looked shellshocked but I don't see how he could have responded to make it any better, the damage was done.
