I have been critical of McGinn for Scotland in the past. He HAS to play 10 and have two players deeper than him. He can’t be one of the deeper two as he has nowhere near the discipline for it and it wastes his energy doing so.
Good to see him getting the goals and us nailing down that role.

I really don’t see what mcgregor brings. I would take him out and play Armstrong

The signs were there against Cyprus. They’ve been excellent tonight. They’ll never be a flair team, but they’ll start to look increasingly well coached.

Yeah well drilled with a good shape and spirit.  Just got to iron out the defensive side a.bit,.and with our options wide and attacking midfield we.can be a very dangerous team.  He's doing an excellent job.

And to think people wanted him sacked after a couple of games.

Were looking like a team now

Second half wasnt even a contest, much more like it.

Think that Marshall, Palmer at right back and Christie and McGinn behind the striker are all positions that have been filled in this qualifying campaign.

You've obviously then got Robertson and McTominay who deserve to start too, and McKenna will, rightly or wrongly, be first choice as hes the only CB with any potential.

So you're just debating the McKennas partner, McTominays partner, then the left winger and striker. I'd be tempted to just keep Forrest and Naismith in there. McGregor or Jack would depend on the opponent.

Starting to see the pieces take place, I think.

The three of Forrest, McGinn and Christie behind the striker has a great balance and is just really pleasing to watch - definitely something to be persisted with. McGregor made a huge difference with a much improved performance after half-time, and, even if I still have some reservations about him, Jack also stepped up. Impressed by Palmer again.

Calm down kuro, that's going too far. We might look dangerous going forward but we're still worryingly bad at the back.

Three wins on the spin was important, no matter the shiteness of the opposition.

Getting through the semi is an absolute must now. And then we'll have something to really look forward to.

Night and day in the second half. Gives us something to build in for the play off.

Interesting to see if Clarke looks to get Tierney, robertson, Fraser etc back in the tream

Robertson comes back in. Fraser benches and is competing with Forrest for a start. Tierney on the bench.

Forrest is a must start, surely?

I'd agree with the rest of your post.

The centre of defence is screaming out though. I'm not 100% McKenna is the solution. But we need something to work, and he looks like he's made his mind up.
