So Borussia Dortmund are the biggest team in Europe?

85444 season ticket holders,.westfalenstadion holds just over 81.

When was the last post made on that forum?

Aye, he caddied for their president and got a season ticket as a tip.

I'm surprised someone who's "been in the game" is relying on football forums and reddit to form a belief...

Not really confined to Scottish football, but applicable to football in general ....

 - Wrong refereeing decisions for and against a team even themselves out over the course of a season.  (Virtually impossible to implement this even if it were actively being attempted)

- you get punished for mistakes at this level.   (Routinely trotted out by players , managers and pundits when commenting on a game in which one of the teams is playing against opponents perceived as being of a higher standard than their usual or previous opponents.  More likely to be punished would be a more accurate statement)

It's actually a 100% accurate statement.  It doesn't say you always get punished.  You're right though.

The implication from the pundits etc spouting that line is that any mistake will definitely be punished

Home attendances are the real measure.  And season ticket sales.  There's no way anybody can realistically claim Aberdeen are a bigger club than hearts or hibs when three thousand more people pay to.watch those clubs every single week than Aberdeen.

Therefore West Ham are a bigger club than Liverpool and Chelsea.

Aberdeen are the third biggest club in Scotland, there is no measure upon which this is true.  Heart and hibs recently got average attendances creeping as high as 18500, have a look at aberdeens, they haven't been close to that for a quarter of a century at least.

Probably because they have won more domestic trophies than any of the other clubs more European Trophies than Celtic or rangers and have never been relegated.
