Forfar Athletic New Manager

Recommended Posts

Jose Mourinho is still available and is looking for a big club.
There is always one person that says *insert out of work top class manager*

Absolutely horrendous patter.

Do you honestly post that and think "aw this will be funny"

Anyhow I heard Martin Canning is the boards number one choice.

I'd be surprised if Smith is offered the job on anything other than a very short term caretaker position. What signal would it send if the Board, after the performance of last season, appoint someone who took Brechin to relegation? There has to be money to allow a more dynamic and forward thinking manager than Smith, who will know his limitations. Mind you, there needs to be someone out there relishing the challenge of turning the team around. If not, the rest of the season will be a nightmare to watch.

Today's Courier reports that Smith doesn't want the managers job but wants to stay as a coach.

But his next door neighbour may be fit also called jim and at Peterhead

As someone said think Jim is looking to pick up his pension with us whether that's at 65 or 75 if the Tories get in again remains to be seen. Anyway am a bit surprized that David McCraken has not been mentioned for any managing jobs, don't know if he is still involved coaching at Falkirk but think he has his badges & gets quite involved from the dugout during games some think he has his eye on Jims job if he goes, personally think if he wants a managers job he would be best looking elsewhere.
