Vimto90
Jose Mourinho is still available and is looking for a big club. There is always one person that says *insert out of work top class manager* Absolutely horrendous patter. Do you honestly post that and think "aw this will be funny"Anyhow I heard Martin Canning is the boards number one choice.

Dan Steele
I'd be surprised if Smith is offered the job on anything other than a very short term caretaker position. What signal would it send if the Board, after the performance of last season, appoint someone who took Brechin to relegation? There has to be money to allow a more dynamic and forward thinking manager than Smith, who will know his limitations. Mind you, there needs to be someone out there relishing the challenge of turning the team around. If not, the rest of the season will be a nightmare to watch.

BillyBairn
Don't you want to poach McKinnon from us? He'll get you loads of draws. On the negative side, you will want to rip your eyeballs out every week from sheer boredom!

Today's Courier reports that Smith doesn't want the managers job but wants to stay as a coach.

Anyway am a bit surprized that David McCraken has not been mentioned for any managing jobs, don't know if he is still involved coaching at Falkirk but think he has his badges & gets quite involved from the dugout during games some think he has his eye on Jims job if he goes, personally think if he wants a managers job he would be best looking elsewhere.
Loon81
Today's Courier reports that Smith doesn't want the managers job but wants to stay as a coach.I wonder if that may mean a less experienced manager coming in and utilising Smith’s experience.
