Detournement
Corbyn will go tomorrow if this is right. The idiots who demanded Labour move towards Remain have enabled hard Brexit. Labour needed to retain their leave voters and you had idiots like Thornberry going hard Remain.

D'Jaffo
I thought it said ~10 mins ago that ES was looking like a Labour loss? Perhaps I just made that up. They said that Lib Dems may have lost Orkney but said it’s maybe unlikely. Kirkcaldy, Dumfries (Mundell), Edinburgh South and Berwickshire will be the non-SNP ones if the poll is indeed correct.

I blame the BBC and Yewtree. It's more a traditional Tory nickname though, so maybe it's appropriate

ICTJohnboy
Thought for the night... A Tory majority on the scale predicted by this exit poll is bound to put a No Deal brexit right back on the table.

I've been saying the very same thing for years on here... ‘One nation’ Scottish Conservatives are the biggest morons here. You’re a committed partner in a relationship that has never existed. Ralstonite
4 minutes ago, Alan Stubbs said: I don’t think they’ll get 55 but if those numbers are even remotely accurate, I will have been hysterically wrong about the SNP being foolish to fight this election on Independence. If/when the Tories start trying to roll back devolution, it’s crucial that there as many SNP (and as few of their bootlicking goons) elected as possible. Let's assume that 35-40% of the electorate are nationalists. If the SNP attract most of them and a few unionists/undecided who don't like Corbyn or Boris, then the rest is split between three unionist parties. With FPTP it's quite easy for the SNP to win the seat.
GNU_Linux
From the exit poll is there a breakdown of the 'others'? eg Green, Plaid Cymru, NI parties et al?

Labour needed to retain their leave voters and you had idiots like Thornberry going hard Remain. Doing f**k all about Brexit for 3 years is the reason they lost. Should have went for a Soft Brexit from the off and they would have had a chance. Instead they've sat on the fence to try and appease both sides and ended up pleasing no-one. Corbyn has had so many missed open goals it is frightening.
superbigal
The actual share of votes looks like it will be as predicted yesterday. Labour just being wiped out in its traditional areas.
DrewDon
You just know that Labour members will completely fail to learn the lessons of the last four years and will go with someone like Long-Bailey or Rayner next. Another unmitigated disaster.
johnthebaptistist
Sturgeons main direction on this election was to stop Boris, that worked out well for her. Looks like there is an immediate raising of the £ and investment in the UK, all good
