Interesting to see the rights of the disabled being rode roughshod over in preference for religious dogma by our Nationalist friends. I'll need to remember that next time they are having a go at christian organisations.

You're a disinformation troll. Thoroughly discredited.

And still won't deny if you would outright vote for a racist, homophobic, misogynist. Reflects badly tbh.

If you have a job, and don’t vote Tory, you are stupid as f**k.

Awful bait. Like a really stupid, right wing version of XVL.

Voting Tory is voting to make the lives of the most vulnerable in our society worse. It is that simple.

If you’re comfortable with that, then you’re an absolute scumbag.

I posted it before, but the utter shite my Mum has had to go through to prove her disability has been fucking horrific to watch. A strong woman reduced to tears on numerous occasions, in fear of what little income she gets being taken away. They prey on the weak and vulnerable, and it's not by accident.

Praying tomorrow things start changing for the better.

I’ve pretty much resigned myself to a Tory majority, it fucking stinks, but that’s where we are as a nation (UK)at the moment.
I’m hoping against hope that I’m wrong, but can’t see it.
As an aside, were many incumbent “remain” tories deselected?

No they've all just meakly accepted Boris Johnson's hard brexit agenda.

Having previously voted Tory, I’ve explained myself previously on similar threads. I don’t understand how anyone could have followed the last couple of weeks campaigning and bring themselves to vote for them, unless they’re voting purely on the issue of Brexit - which many will be.

My biggest problem is that Corbyn, in my opinion, is completely unelectable to the majority of people in the country. Although I disagree with a lot of what she says, and the SNPs record on actual policies and delivery of certain things is highly debatable - I think SNP are genuinely the only option in Scotland.

As someone who probably sits just right of centre, there’s virtually not a single party to vote for anymore. The tories have gone way to far right and new labour have gone way too far left under Corbyn, although I accept not all of their party supports him.

Will we ever get to a stage when a centrist party comes back?

Tirso, I apologise for deleting part of your post, but I wanted to highlight the part that I agree with the most.

I am disgusted with unionist politicians that say Scotland will not be granted a section 30 order, no to indyref2 etc.  I believe this just highlights how unjust the union is if either is not allowed the choice to leave at some time if it so chooses.  It grates me when I hear "not allow" and "not grant" being bandied about like we have no say on the matter, whilst at the same time I think it can only strengthen our cause.  I don't think Scots like being told what they can't do, especially if they have a mandate to do so.  It can only backfire on those that are unwilling to respect the democratic process.

I know Stinky.  I never thought that the very right to choose would be denied if a mandate is there.  Always was the case in Catalonia but in Scotland it was well understood that we lived in a union.

I could even be up for grabs in a future independence vote but I'll never vote for a party that will arbitrarily deny a vote taking place if a mandate has been clearly met.   If it hasn't been met then that's fine but there has to be a democratic path available.  I completely understand people not wanting independence or wanting a vote but to deny it if people have chosen it is deeply wrong.  Surely that is total contempt for whatever Scottish people as a whole vote for.  It's not even just about this specific issue.

We didn't vote to be a region.  What happened to best of both worlds, Strong Scotland in the UK.  Many people are proud to be Scottish but are happy to remain in the UK.  I hesitate to say this but there's a hatred of the very idea of  any scottish difference -  even whilst being firmly in the UK.

I want a proud Scottish Labour party to vote for.  That stood up for Scotland and the claim of right.

See when you say they've gone deeply far left.  Aren't all they saying they'll be a similar amount of public spending as most western european countries and an increase on tax for the top 5%?  It's hardly Stalin Britain.

And proposing the (part) re-nationalisation of utilities, broadband, railways, Royal Mail. IMO, that’s far further left than previous labour governments. The “socialist” claims are probably a little far fetched but they’re too far left for me, and many others, to support or vote for.

FWIW, I agree with an increase in tax for the top 5%, a higher level of Corporation Taxes, and increased support for SMEs.

An interesting post.  Without trying to tell people how to vote I've been suggesting to some Conservatives of my acquaintance that the party and the political credo they have previously backed no longer exists and perhaps they should consider this tomorrow - at least one guy has the same view as yourself, and the rest are now lukewarm about voting Tory to say the least.

In answer to your last point, probably yes if Westminster was to adopt a similar electoral system to Holyrood.

Edited to add - none of them are bone-headed religious bigots.

..this part actually appeals to me. The absolute mess of some of these companies in terms of a drive for pure profit as opposed to a measure of public service given the requirement on most of us to use them has reached a point where something needs done.

I'm not in favour of going back to 'the good old days' at all but at the least the infrastructure for running these facilities should be centrally governed and not for profit - the service providers can compete for the actual deliverables that we use but for some things such as broadband (and rail) I believe that we are absolutely hammered in cost for sub-standard products

Irks me a bit that people have this native fear of nationalisation. In Scotland, water is nationalised and I don't hear many people screaming that it's badly run - just compare your water bill with one in privatised England. Lots of the UK's utilities - and rail networks - are owned by national government – just not ours. The Royal Mail was profit-making, but since privatisation has shed thousands of jobs, raised stamp prices to crazy levels, all for the benefit of a few shareholders. And yet people think we should leave it private.

Not that I'm recommending anyone vote for Corbyn in Scotland – not least because no-one knows what his position today is on independence, Brexit or Trident so I can't see he can be trusted on anything else. Labour is a wasted vote in Scotland now.

While I guess they have no chance in whatever seat you are in. Why not the Lib Dem's?

Aside from a possibly irrational dislike of Swinson, the real reason not to vote for them is that they have no chance at all in my seat which has been SNP since 05, and had around 3% Lib Dem at the last election.

Imagine voting Tory to fix all of the problems over the last, near enough, decade....caused by the Tory government

.....and the present incarnation of that government is now led by a spineless, lying charlatan.
Fuxake, Johnson makes me think back to Cameron and Gideon with dewy eyed nostalgia.
I despair for the next few years in this country.......[emoji51]

Dont care if I get banned for saying this, but if you vote Tory tomorrow you are a fucking c**t and I hope by some absolute fluke of coincidence that you personally are hardest hit by their austerity policies and lose your job when brexit impacts result in a widescale economic slowdown. f**k the tory vermin scum. A vote for the tories is a vote to kick every vulnerable person in this country in the face.
