alta-pete
Being honest I find all this sort of stuff very tiresome, I really can't speak for anyone else, however up until maybe about 2 - 3 years ago I'd never actually heard anyone mention Jews, Israel or Anti Semitism within everyday language and reporting within this country. But now everyone and their Granny appears to be anti semitic ?? And I cannot believe the proportion of PnB posters who are suddenly able to tout themselves as the intelligentsia with such misappropriated self belief on all matters Semitic/Zionist/Israeli/Palestinian.

Being called out as a coward by Neill is going to hurt him, and his crew - especially with the placing of Brillo's wee rant just after he'd grilled Fromage, ensuring that a lot of brexit obsessives who were considering flipping from the nasty party to the natsy party might be encouraged to take that step.
Dundee Hibernian
The media is guilty of placing too much emphasis in this election on trifling, deceptive diversions (such as disputes over antisemitism) to the detriment of their coverage of genuine issues such as the consequences of brexit outcomes. Unfortunately, the public seems pliable.

Anyone who claimed the Islamophobia of the Tories or the anti Catholic bigotry of the DUP were "trifling" would and should get a rocket up their arse. There have been cases of undoubted anti-semitism in the Labour party. These have been politicised and weaponised by the enemies of social democracy for their own ends. There are complexities as to where the criticism of aspects of Islam, Catholicism, Juadism, Israel and other complex issues switches from legitimate criticism and falls into bigotry. But all people from all racial, ethnic, religious and gender\sexual identities should feel like we stand like a wall in front of them. We are there for them. We are not the source of conspiracy theories and bullshit about them. An injury to one is an injury to all.
Granny Danger
This election will highlight the mindset of the large minority of the British electorate. It will be a combination of selfishness, stupidity, gullibility, cravenness and prejudice. Due to the distorted FPTP system this large minority will return a Tory majority government.
Guest Jedi
Yep, next to nothing about the consequences of Brexit in the media...as if its all going to be alright on the night, to suit the Tories. If we had a proper media in this country they would running consistent economic profiling of what Johnson's oven ready deal will actually mean. If millions of folk still wanted to vote it through despite knowing that they will be substantially worse off financially, then that would be their own fault. Its not only 48% of voters who backed Remain who are about to be shafted its the whole economy, just to ensure that the ERG maniacs make a nice pile of cash off the back of it. It is truly scandalous that in a supposedly 'Brexit' election that the media have been compliant in cheerleading the Tories three word slogan as if its all one giant wheeze which to the ERG/Bullingdon Club of course it is.

dirty dingus
Found this on facebook The Dutch media are not pulling their punches. This was published in the Volksrant, a daily newspaper. As you can see it depicts the UK being gang raped by Johnson, Farage, Cummings, Rees-Mogg and somebody else...... edit(is it gove?) The BBC is saying, “Move along now. Nothing to see here”. Seems to me the Dutch have a grip of what’s happening here and the BBC’s role in it. Guest Jedi
Spot on JLD...some of the 48% will indeed still vote Tory. I would still love to see some 'serious' journalism in this country though that fleshed out whats coming after the Eton balloon gets his shabby deal through. Every front page in the land 'should' be printing the facts and figures, not hiding behind the 'what is Boris like..oven ready...hes such a character'

Sir Tarmo Kink
Not if you are a Jew. What is it? 47% of British Jews said they are thinking of leaving the UK if Labour get into power. Certainly not trivial for them. Or Trifling. Yep. The attempt to attack Johnson (rightly) and portray Corbyn as some sort of man of the people on this site is quite frankly pathetic. The man is anti-semitic, doesn’t have a stance on two major issues (indyref2 and Brexit) and is constantly spouting cloud cuckoo land soundbites (including his unsustainable spending plans) to try and get the young, naive students on board. He’s an utter fool and while Johnson is too, the idea that we’ll be totally safe with Corbyn in charge is baffling.
