99% of the criticism of him and others in the Labour party has been down to their criticism of the Israeli Government and support for the Palestinians.

 

I pretty much despise Corbyn but people seem to treat Israel and Jews as one. He’s definitely anti-Zionist and anti-Israel but there’s only a small amount of evidence to suggest he’s an anti-semite (although he probably is one).

For what it's worth, this was an issue Ed Miliband faced as well when he whipped for Palestinian statehood.

DUP say they would consider backing Labour under a different leader. Probably their usual games, but in the event of a hung parliament there could be real pressure on him to stand down, especially if the Lib Dems do well. Hope he has someone in mind to carry on the project if he's forced out.

It’s not a mindset I would have, but it’s understandable for a Tory that opposes indyref2 to tactically vote where they have no chance to get in. A Tory who tactically votes Labour is more than a bit weird, but voting tactically voting Lib Dem probably is to their benefit if it keeps out the SNP, given their lesser threat.

There’s a flute band in some shithole like Motherwell advocating for tactically voting in Labour which is just baffling on so many levels given some of them probably believe Gerry Adams will be Deputy PM in a hung parliament.

I'm getting feedback that labour activists are out in door to door force in some Glasgow constituencies. 

Glasgow North East and North are clear targets for them to retain or gain. They’re very active in both.

I have never seen evidence to support the proposition that Corbyn is anti-Semitic.

Unless you adopt a definition of anti-Semitism that includes criticism of Israel as many pro-Zionists do.

I generally defend him on this issue but there was one thing an opponent in an argument pointed out which gave me pause for thought. With no evidence (on Iranian TV) he insinuated that an attack by Islamic jihadists on the Egpytian army was actually an Israeli attempt to destabilise the Egyptian government. Whereas he demanded evidence of Russian involvement in Salisbury before pointing the finger of blame when they already looked as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo. 

When you start getting into unevidenced conspiracy theories where Israel are behind false flag attacks you are drifting very close to crackpot antisemitism and the double standard over evidence requirements is slightly suspicious.
