Stellaboz
That's utterly sickening. The PR machine behind this c**t right now is on full-scale c**t mode.
Paco
Ian Austin all over the media saying vote Tory, because Corbyn is racist. Vote Tory to avoid racism. Boris Johnson to avoid racism. Letterboxes, piccaninnies, watermelon smiles. Haven’t seen anybody question him on that yet.
oneteaminglasgow
I see the Metro are flat-out invoking Churchill comparisons with Johnson today. That's been coming for a while. In all fairness, Churchill was a horrific racist c**t as well.
WhiteRoseKillie
Don't think she is in Scotland, but in England she's running a propaganda campaign trying to take votes from Labour, using false tactical voting stats. That could be very useful to the Tories. Don't think she is a threat in England further. The only advantage she's giving the Tories as the moment is by frying the letters even more message up electioneering pitch than they are. Even my not so engaged mates see here as an irrelevant wannabe.
WhiteRoseKillie
Austin flounced out of the Party months ago. I'm really not happy with the lectures giving an irrelevant independent politician the airtime this morning to scream "look at me!" all over again. A pathetic little weasel, who has actually managed to make Watson look mature in the manner of his leaving.

I think Corbyn is useless in a Scottish context but he's not a racist. A typical Orwellian twist by the right-wing. Meanwhile, tweet of the day... Unfortunately, because Austin on Sky News, appeared to be on the verge of bursting into (crocodile) tears, we will have to watch that clip ad nauseam. Do we get the media we deserve in this country?

ArmadaleKillie
So I found out today that my wife's family are all horrific, politically speaking. Mother & Father-in-law - Voting Tory because Corbyn is a socialist and they supposedly remember how bad the 70's were and labour would take us back to then and the three day week. Also supposedly he is just tricking the younger generation who don't understand that this has all been tried before and doesn't work...... Brother-in-law - Voting Tory because Corbyn is anti-capitalist. Sister-in-law - Voting Tory because she is sick of it all. Thankfully they all live in Lancashire in what is already a Tory seat so they won't actually affect anything, but I do despair.
DAFC.
The Englanders have made their bed. Labour can no longer rely on the North and Scotland to potentially form a government. Labour are finished IMO. If younger voters (18-24) could be arsed making an effort, then they might have a chance, but they have lost those that would previously vote for them as well, crucially. Tory governments, majority or minority, for the foreseeable future until we become independent.

welshbairn
Tories running scared in Moray. Quote Johnson visited the Roseisle Distillery, near Elgin, in Moray, accompanied by the local Scottish Conservative candidate, Douglas Ross, who won the seat from the SNP’s former Westminster leader Angus Robertson in 2017. Johnson spent little over an hour touring the rural distillery in a strictly managed visit during which he had no contact with the public.

I picked the 4 most marginal Labour/Lib Dem constituencies (with a sitting Labour\Jared OMara MP) and tried to track down a post code for them. S11 8TR Sheffield Hallam recommends Lib Dem SE13FD Bermondsley and Old Southwark recommends either Labour or Lib Dem CB1 2LD Cambridge recommends either Labour or Lib Dem LS21 1HE Leeds North West recommends either Labour or Lib Dem The only place I found they recommend Lid Dem over Labour is Sheffield Hallam where its tight and Labour would have to put on another 7% nationally and the Lib Dems loose that again for it to stay Labour. Quote not recommending SNP in any Scottish seats and recommending Labour in the failed statelet. So this news is stunning: FK8 2EE For Stirling the most marginal SNP Con seat they say they make no recommendations in Scotland. I am pretty sure Detourment shared that earlier, so about right.
