throbber Posted November 4, 2019 Share Posted November 4, 2019 I’m sorry for confusing things here - I have a girlfriend who I have been with for 10 years and don’t have a wife. We have 1 x daughter and my girlfriends Dad (who I’m referring to as my FIL to try and make it a bit easier to follow) is on his second wife and broke up with my girlfriends mum about 18 years ago. My FIL’s new wife has her own kids who are in their 20’s and sponge off him and he sees them a lot more than he sees his own children. I’d say we were in a Cold War with them and there is a lot of awkwardness when we are all together but don’t think it will ever blow up as we have pretty much accepted that he is a dickhead and if he doesn’t want to see his grand kids then it’s his loss. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
