One noticeable disappointment was the Cambuslang Rangers v Gartcairn attendance. The nine goals are online and you can clearly see the almost empty covered enclosure and behind both goals. Whoever posted 70 punters was honest. Sad to see that low figure considering the effort being put in to pick up the reins after recent events at Cambuslang. The lower the crowd the lower the pool of potential volunteers. It's noticeable most of the more successful clubs can have anything up to 20/30 volunteers when and where needed. Last time i was at Pollok there was 8 people at the entrance alone between gatemen, raffle and programme seller. Think this is in all regions across Scotland ( in most cases) regarding crowds and volunteers. Also the more volunteers a club has the more people to look at raising funds for clubs in other ways as well as on match days. Higher the crowd gives more income from gates, raffles, programmes, food & drink etc. Also I would think again when fundraising the more supporters a club has going regularly to games is a great starting point with any fundraising. Adding even 10/20 supporters to a club over a season will make a big difference to many clubs. Add a few more volunteers also and the difference can be huge.
Tutankhamen
The and/or to success with or without a crowd is a financial backer of some kind. Outside of that then a noticeable recent success crowd wise in the West Juniors must be St Roch's who seemed to have dragged themselves from the bottom of the old district leagues and 20/30 supporters to it seems like 10 times the crowd. Reading between the lines it looks like a younger element probably more IT savvy has taking the club forward in the space of a few years. Another club that seemed to have a fresh faced crowd running them and ended up leaving the WestJuniors for the Senior EoSL was Dunipace. Last I heard they'd a new plastic pitch and floodlights. Maybe others could tell us if it helped attendance wise.

Duraglit shareholder
Had a wry smile at Sunday Mail giving Talbot attendance 921 yet Bonnyrigg over 2K.
cmontheloknow
Highlights of both games on youtube. Hard to tell for certain other than it's pishing down at Bonnyrigg and all the cover is stand side yet there are still hundreds out getting wet which would suggest the cover is full.
Duraglit shareholder
Are the gate reciepts split between both clubs in tie in the william hill scottish cup, anyyone?
Gimme
Unless it's changed this season the home club take 20% of the gate money with the remaining 80% being split equally between the 2 clubs. Edited to add - From the 4th round onwards the SFA take a cut of the gate money (was 5%)

So 60% to the home club and 40% to the away club. I'd say the Juniors are fairer with their 50/50 split after deducting referees expenses. And the SJFA don't deduct anything until the semi finals.

I'd say the Juniors are fairer with their 50/50 split after deducting referees expenses. And the SJFA don't deduct anything until the semi finals. It might seem that way on face value. However, it's the responsibility of the home side to cover the match expenses. The 20% of the gross is expected to cover that. So chances are it works little differently to the Junior Cup where match expenses are first deducted prior to the 50/50 split. The SFA 5% levy also might seem a bit extra, but the difference there is the SFA is also providing prize money every round to each club. Which would far exceed the levy in most cases. Take for example Auchinleck Talbot v Ayr United in last year's 4th Round. 3,100 as an attendance. The high ticket price was meant to be £15 = £46,500. 5% to the SFA = £2,325. SFA prize money £9,000 to each club.
